Don, thanks for the link to that video. Very nice looking vehicle. One suggestion: It seems that videos and pictures of ECs rarely show the cab-to-cabin access, and I am unclear how big that access is. If it feasible for a normal person to get through that, that may be something you want to...
According to the National Weather Service, it was 10 degrees this morning in Pagosa Springs. The Webasto in our camper keep us toasty. I was turned up to almost halfway though.
Someone needs to buy this rig. I already have a camper and don't need another one, but damn this one is nice.
Excellent trip report; thanks. If you like rock art, check out the panels at Thompson Springs. It is right off I-70 just east of the turn off to Moab. No 4wd needed. Also, you have probably seen it, but the panel in Buckhorn Wash is impressive.
I have tried twice to get to the Harvest...
I have done it and it was fine, if a bit noisy. We pulled in after dark and pulled out about sun-up. In my experience there are quite a few campers in Rest Areas overnight, along with semi trucks. Not a great place to "camp" but a fine place to get some sleep if you are trying to make miles...
This is the best For Sale thread; like an extended trip report. It is going to be a bit disappointing when you sell it. I will be in Boulder/Denver next week and will keep my eyes out for this rig.
Alright, that was impressive. I once descended the Shafer Trail when it was wet -but not snow covered - and I was terrified. Made the kids get out and walk.
That is a great looking truck, but there appears to be something wrong with the fridge. Appears to be filled with water and what might be some not-milk type product, or maybe coconut water. You better get some beer in there; I'm pretty sure beer is required for a refrigerator to function...
Think of it as spending $275K on a house, and $25K on a vehicle. Seems like a bargain.
I will be looking for that rig on the Western Slope this Spring.
I am pretty sure that vehicle has been listed for sale before and posted here. Same pictures, also in Vancouver area. Would be interesting to compare the current and past price and mileage. But this ad does not list mileage.
Very nice trip report; thanks. I was paddling and camping in the islands off Loreto last January and it was intermittently very windy, and very calm. I found the app Windfinder useful for wind forecasts.
Bob can answer best, but in the event he is not checking here regularly, I believe he decided not to sell. He very graciously gave me the full tour and it is a very nice rig, so if it is for sale you should buy it.
I know I am going to be disappointed in the answer, but how tall is this rig? And how long (although it is the tall where I am garage constrained)? Thanks
Nice setup.
What is the total height when the camper top is down (how high a garage door opening do I need)? Not including the roof racks. Looks like maybe the awning is the high point.
Wow. That is beautiful. I have dreamed of getting a motor trawler to serve as a mothership/base camp for sea kayaking, but this takes it to an entire other level. What is the draft?
