    iOS has GPS-enabling "airplane mode"

Thanks for the info! I use my GaiaGPS for backcountry hiking and have fought killing battery or using it to spot check my location. Will be interesting to see how the GaiaGPS running alone does for battery life.

    JK trailer brake controler

Another recommendation here for the Prodigy P3. I ran that in my CTD on multiple trails, loaded and unloaded and really liked how easy it was to change settings to properly brake the various loads/trailers.

    Preparing for long trips.

The AW4 does not like to be overfilled and just as bad make sure it is true Dextron fluid and not AT4 or whatever. Dextron does not expand as much as AT4 when hot so less likely to push out the vent or seals. (I can attest to this being an issue unfortunately- I blew tranny fluid on seemed like...

    high mileage motors for overloading

You didn't mention oil usage so your 3.8 must be in good shape. Run and maintain it as long as you can.

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Nice find. Those boxes were hard to find 10 years ago.

Can I use a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier on an OME lifted wj?

OME generally makes there stuff to carry load and be able to tow(or at least not hinder stock performance). 250lbs tongue weight is not bad at all for a lightweight trailer so that should not be an issue. Will probably sag a little under an inch or so.

Overhaulin' (AEV Style) '08 Jeep Green Metallic "Overland" build

The attached picture( sorry if it is huge I'm on an iPad and not sure how to resize the attachment) is from a couple years back when fully loaded down with the exception of the soft top. I will say I am lighter than your list as I do not have a RTT, rack or extra fuel but otherwise pretty close...

    Trail (likely wooded) kit???

I typically do not carry a chain saw and have usually been fine with my usual recovery gear and my trusty Wyoming Saw. More often then not I can pull trees out of the way enough to make passable. While the saw can't cut a large tree I can cut the branches off to reduce risk of tire puncture as...

Overhaulin' (AEV Style) '08 Jeep Green Metallic "Overland" build

4.5" lift is not necessary in my opinion. I've been running 3.5" with true to size 37" MTRs with stock flares for some time and it works great. Even loaded down with family of 4 plus dogs plus a light weight trailer for a week long excursion it sits just fine(the lack of power from the 3.8 is...

    MetalCloak?

Pulling to the right can be caused from various things and ruling out components due to them being new or low miles is generally a bad idea(especially with MOPAR-unfortunately) I would have it realigned and inspected for component failure. Factory ball joints have a rediculously short life span...

Suspension solution for a very heavy 2007 JKU

I would give it a try before considering the spacer. My JKU can be pretty heavy on family trips and it sits level when loaded. Even with my snowmobile trailer loaded up it sits well. Suprisingly the static height doesn't change much loaded or not.

Cost of an Alignment, setting all 8 control arms, and pinion angle?

That does sound like a reasonable price for all of that. Do they have an alignment rack and are you getting a full alignment? I have never legitimately aligned any of my jeeps, I have done everything with measuring angles and distances etc. A lot of shops do the same.

Ordered truck cap today. Now I need to figure out my sleeping arrangement.

Solo sleeping arrangement? If so a simple cot to one side or the other over the wheel well worked great for me. Had plenty of room to store stuff under it. Is totally removable and cheap/ light weight.

Realistically...how often do you use your hi-lift?

I would love to ditch mine. Its heavy, bulky and/or awkward to store. That said it's super useful and I've used mine a ton over the years. Wouldn't go without it.

KC HiLiTES NEW Gravity JK LED Fog Lights

Haven't looks and should but what is the cost of these? I am looking for lights to replace my broken factory fogs. Have been thinking of going Ridgid duallies thus far.

    Recovery Gear Storage

I haven't carried a tow strap since converting to the Master Pull superyanker kinetic rope. I stash mine under the passenger front seat. My winch controller, snatch block, extra d ring and tree saver reside under the driver seat. This all might not be Expedition Portal approved but they are...

    Reducing rattles in a JKUR

Hard top or soft top? With my hard top, if I "overtighten" the hardtop hand bolts on the b spreader is rattles. If I loosen them up the rattle stops. The sound will come from the top of the b pillar when this happens. Probably isn't your issue but throwing it out there as it sounds similar.
