tires + lockers for me are more important than bumpers! The bumpers wont get you out in the remote places you want to go but the locker(s) will!

small update: Got some 4.7 transfer case gears for the old girl,h4 headlight conversion, new taillights to replace the smashed ones and I am also planning a trip to Colorado/Utah either May 2015 or August 2015... any suggestion which month would be better?

Edit: Sorry I clearly did not see the offroad part of your post. Just to add something here... you dont need a locked up 80 series Lc to travel from Seattle to Panama. Many people have done the same trip with bicycles,motorcycle, your everyday sedan, suv ,you name it! Unless you want to cross...

The softopper is great! Have one on my pickup . I camped in it a few weekends ago with the mesh backing and it was great! Wish I could have snatched that wildernest but im a little far from you!
