Oh those stupid little 'city lights' in the main head light? I swear every year one of those goes out before va safety inspection. Like clockwork.

VHF swap out, dog guard update, etc
Coyote's role as more off road toy than DD makes her suceptible to cannibalization of components I'd installed at the beginning of the build to keep her interior less clustered; i.e. in this case specifically the detaching face Yaseu FT-7900R. That radio...
This is exactly why I haven't bothered on my current truck. Except I haven't even taken the step of the large good quality battery. I put in an ok battery and then carry a microstart in case I'm dumb and leave the lights on or what have you. Oh, and when it is in the garage I plug the fridge...
Had a painless setup on my old 98 (current D1 is just running a single battery, though it wound't be hard to wire in another).
Don't have many pics but this one shows the main aspects:
I had removed the trumpet from the front of the air intake and then blanked that off; didn't matter to me...
Given location, I'd contact these folks and get set up: http://www.traxide.com.au/complete-diy-dual-battery/land-rover-dbs-kits/discovery-4-dbs-kits/
Very impressed with my traxide setup in my D3.

Truck continues to be the girl we break out from time to time. Nice chilly morning up at Shoe Creek (still closed in the middle, which sucks). Was fun to be out and about with one ea/of the original coil sprung rovers, all in green.

I'd yield to Victory's experience since ironically I installed the vents to see how they'd look (and of course take a pic) and then re-wrapped them since they are a gift for Clifford the Twin Mountain LR3 (since that truck carries two dogs around on a constant basis).
I do very much like the...
Just bear in mind that while, for some reason that is unclear to me, the locker is like the holy grail the reality is most people won't need it for their application-and I'd say almost all won't need it the vast majority of the time....
...and if you are one of the exceptions that proves the...
I half wonder if what you posted that is in the US and what I found in the UK comes from the same supplier (likely China). I'm skeptical on a lot of fleabay too but admittedly I've had damn good luck when it comes to a lot of the LR3/D3 stuff I've gotten, esp the stuff from the UK market.

Solild link, I've had this in my ebay watched items for quite some time: http://www.ebay.com/itm/191209397957?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
I'd spend some time over on Discoweb looking at solutions; just a cursory search over there of 'bypass alarm' got a fair amount of results -parsing down to just D1's you get to threads like these: https://discoweb.org/forums/showthread.php?t=86423&highlight=bypass+alarm
Discoweb is not like...
I like the Home Depot route for sleeping in the truck; that would work pretty well I think.
ColoDisco raises an important rationalization; if I got a set it would help offset the heat inside the dark green/black interior truck when parked. I love that kind of justification!

Nakatenga D3/D4 window vents/Series-Defender Outfitters shout out (US based vendor)
I have long having eyed the fantastic vents that Nakatenga makes, as seen on previous threads here on ExpO. I don't particularly need them for my truck but I wanted to grab a set as an Xmas gift for my partner...
