Sportsmobile vs. XP Camper -- Why the XP Camper Won For Us

I didn't see this until today. I had no problem getting my truck/camper financed through USAA. They ultimately financed it as a truck with a very expensive add-on.

    Financing for "4x4 off-road camper"

I financed mine due to timing. My original plan was to save and pay cash but a deal fell into my lap several years earlier than my plan so I adapted. I paid about half what I was expecting to pay at the end of my savings plan. My interest rate is ridiculously low and tax deductible, so even with...

    Flat bed camper for sale

I see, and agreed on that thread/topic. It's the many threads like that on this forum that tend to keep me away. Even though I have my dream rig, I still find myself wanting to trade it for a JKUR Habitat. I tend to go through cars fairly quickly and I'm resisting the urge to do the same with...

    Flat bed camper for sale

There is a for sale section but sometimes people post here. You might get better coverage in the for sale section, though. I recall you being a fairly staunch supporter of Phoenix when MyTaco was having issues. I'm seriously not trying to stir anything up, or restart that thread discussion that...

    Financing for "4x4 off-road camper"

I was able to finance my truck and XPCamper through USAA, even though it wasn't listed in the NADA Guide. They reviewed the website to get the value and financed it as a truck with a very expensive add on that cost more than the truck. I was limited to a seven year loan but that fit my need anyway.

What gives with the FWC folk... (I am part of the FWC folk)

I've only ever passed one other XP Camper "in the wild", not at an actual event. We both sort of freaked out and waved. Had we not been headed in opposite directions on Hwy 190 in/out of Death Valley, I'm sure we would have stopped to chat.

    2005 Dodge Ram 2500 and 2012 XPCamper

The work was done by Mojave Signs & Graphics, a subsidiary of Mojave Copy in Victorville. They printed, laminated, and applied it for about $500. I had to wash the truck and remove the existing graphics and residual glue. They bought the photo online from a service they had access to and now own...

    2005 Dodge Ram 2500 and 2012 XPCamper

I removed the decals from the passenger side of my camper to add a partial wrap. Valley View (or Tunnel View) has always been my favorite spot in Yosemite. I can sit there for hours. I'll have to make a trek there this summer to do some glamour shots of my camper with the actual view in the...

Sportsmobile vs. XP Camper -- Why the XP Camper Won For Us

The original V1 (short for version 1) camper requires a flatbed and a minimum 3/4-ton truck, preferable 1-ton. The V2 is designed for smaller trucks, originally the Tacoma but also larger 1/2-ton trucks like yours. It too requires a flatbed. There is a V3 in development that appears to be a...

    2005 Dodge Ram 2500 and 2012 XPCamper

I had XPCamper do a few upgrades to the camper, an upgraded shade, 1000 watt inverter, and LED awning lights. http://www.maybelost.net/the-rig/a-few-upgrades/

A flippin' diamond in the rough

We actually used those to string cord across the middle of the FP for. Curtain there at night so there would be a bit of privacy for the porta-potty. We also hung various small items from them. For curtains, we simply sewed small Velcro squares to fabric and stuck them to the fuzzy walls of the...

    XPCamper Updates

They haven't yet but it's coming. They finished literally two days ago and drove straight through to OX14. They still have a few items on their checklist, including doing the pass through. Talking with Sarah today, they're evaluating options to find the best, most waterproof option.

    SOLD Portable Extremeaire Compressor

I think it's sold here in CA, although northern CA. I'll look up shipping as a back up to that potential sale that came in before the two above. Sorry, 15-hour day at work.

    SOLD Portable Extremeaire Compressor

Price drop to $350. This thing is a beast of a compressor, it's just redundant for me.
