I am a little late getting into this discussion. I have taken a plug strip and used just the plug adapter, as stated above, to power several 110/220 devices in Uganda and Uruguay, (obviously different plug). Have fun, I am heading back to Kampala in January, and again in June. Jim

All of Montevideo is like that. It is way more like a European city than anyplace else in South America I have been to. This was in a pretty rough part of town near the port. But as I said, I was there at the very end of January and this was, I think, in the exact same spot. It may not run.

I went to 4 wheel parts and got one of the light wiring kits, $10-15, and just used the wire from the exiting backup lights in place of where the wire from thw switch would go to the relay. Works great.

Hey Everybody, Since I was in Africa last summer, I have become more interested in overland and expedition travel instead of rocks and mud. I have a 2000 TJ Sport and have had it on trails and some rocks. I have an REBB with 31 x 10.5" AT's. I am planning on replacing those with 33 x 10.5's...
