Outfitter sold was my understanding. Correct Ch 7 is liquidation. 11 is no walk in the park though. Very dynamic. I wish them well but with very little chance of additional financing, if a creditor isn't made whole and not keen on a haircut they can force a sale.
A $255 bill for a leaking sink. That's the big warning thread. So Hallmark has 2 phases. The old FWC/ATC era and the newer composite stuff. I got to look at their side entry flatbed model a few years back and it was DOPE. No comparison to FWC.
I like my 3 in one boost, egr and pressure gauge. Not the prettiest thing but show me anybody jamming those 3 functions in one gauge with sensors included. I dont like huge gauge pods and nobody has really executed a Android interface for non-OBD2 sensors on older trucks.
I also read a fair...
UNICORN. GLWTS. The only side entry pop up I know of. Also has the rear pop out. I was looking for one of these on the used market for a year before I found my Northstar American Hero, another unicorn. Would be a great flatbed camper for somebody.
I know of multiple folks here in SLC who have had them STOLEN and rip sawed off the top of their cars/trucks. Most went to a wedge truck camper style. I think they are great for some people though. Especially the hard shells that are quick deploy. I pee twice a night, depending on beer intake...
I've done two nights in my buddy's 4wc at the Neck camp above the Maze/Orange Cliffs in some of the most intense winds I've ever experienced. Consistent 60 to 70mph with gusts much higher. Solid. Noisy but it would have been noisy in a hard wall that night.
Hey Metcalf! Trick bit of kit you've designed here. Love how compact it all is. A few questions:
- Can you attach a soft webbing to the lifting arm like the Hilift Liftmate thing? Looks like your hook system probably does the trick.
- Any chance you would consider selling a complete unit to...
Saw that bed here in SLC on KSL. Had no use for it but thought it was a screaming deal. Glad it landed in the right hands! Great rig. Those Aussie bodies are the only way to go IMHO.
Well the last 3 years have been the hardest time to buy a reasonably priced rig if you're not willing to build one. Didn't see the original posting but it seems to be evidence of pricing coming down. And down it will come.
Wow! That truck looks tough with the new shoes! Well done. I do like the "rim steps" of the old wheels on that beast. Not really steps but at least a little purchase to help get in the monster. You see them on old 4x4 fire trucks in Australia too.
Once again following along. Are you still...
Great points but I'll say from experience that Grade 8 is way more prone to brittle breakage than Grade 5. That's why Grade 5 is called out in many applications and specify not to use 8. As somebody who has replaced grade 8 with grade 5 bolts because of breakage and lack of clamping stretch...
Just wait a second, be patient and be willing to travel to pick up your rig. I'm seeing lots of fully outfitted rigs selling at a loss and it will get worse (better?). Do the calcs and if you can afford it on a monthly basis, take the plunge. Refi if/when rates come down if you can.
The main...
When searching for the "strongest" hardware many people look at grade 8 as the standard. Well grade 8 has the highest tensile strength rating, it is also much more brittle than grade 5. Grade 5 will stretch before it fails. Not ideal but I would rather have a jammed hitch than multiple lbs of...
