I've got a 2" below strut spacer and the factory block in the rear and it's perfect, so if you're going 2 1/2" in the front I wouldn't go with anything over a 2" block in the rear

I actually just ordered Amsoil gear oil last night at work to change mine out, i am just over 50k miles and figure it's a perfect time... going to swap the transfer case at the same time, with atf of course

I don't know if you've heard anything about the leaking 3rd brake light on these trucks, but it's definitely for real, i just noticed a small telltale mark on the headliner right below the light and pulled it off to find the gasket dried out and comprised at the top end, I ordered a replacement...
What are your thoughts on running a catch can on these direct injection engines? I am seriously considering getting over for mine

14 awg would be sufficient in my mind and I definitely like the GM tie downs, I've installed 6 in my bed, for off eBay and couldn't be happier!

Once you start going that far with these trucks it's just opening up a can of worms and you're always chasing one thing after another...I completely agree with you on wanting to keep the suspension at 2"-2.5" max, same thing I've done with mine.

I did a very similar body lift years ago, in my garage with normal hand tools, by my self and I did it after work one evening, I agree on the 8 hrs sounding a little excessive
