kind of both. If you were in a wide open area where turning around was not a big deal then I would say weight was the biggest factor but on most trails just a combination. Again that is with 35's if I were able to run 40's or bigger I might feel differently. I wheeled my jeeps a lot in the...
I have done a lot of snow wheeling in jeep rubicons on 35's and have been flat out amazed. I would never take my power wagon on the same 35's where I went in the jeep. Running both with stock tires it would be the same I would try things in the jeep I would not dream about in the pw. If I were...
how does it handle? what type of tie downs are you using and did you have to put 2x4's on the bed to lift it to clear the cab? What does the weight decal on the camper say actual weight it is? you got me all excited
there are no air bag sensors in the front of the jeep's bumper even on stock. You have crush cans but only two other bumpers I know of re-use those again and that is AEV and ARB.
have you put any on a newer power wagon yet? my payload is 1565 but I know I can add air bags so not terribly concerned with the weight but not sure how the tie downs would be.
yup. I can not think of a single instance where the ST Maxx was superior to the AT3w, other than looks. I have had ST Maxx in 295/70-17, 285/75-17(multiple sets) and 315/70-17(multiple sets). My real only beef with the ST Maxx is they all got loud after 10,000 or so miles and the 315/70-17 runs...
the 5.0L is most satisfying to me. I know everyone is looking at the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times as being the most satisfying but if there is no stop watch involved the V8 has a certain satisfying feel to it. Realistically I have not drag raced anyone for many years and I used to drag race on...
if looking at the 2.7, 3.5 and 5.0 do a blind test from the passenger seat. you might be surprised, not at which one is faster but which one is more satisfying.
not on an arb 50. I have run my fridge for 2 and 3 day stretches on a stock jeep battery with no issues. I know people said no but I have done it numerous times. stayed frosty cold.
I have rarely read a post where someone was happy with them after installing them. wranglerforum has had quite a few discussions about them as well as some people selling them.
one issue with bear spray is people don't practice with it because it is expensive. go waste a couple of cans and for sheetz and giggles spray yourself. It a oh crap moment that can happen and you should spray your self so you know how you will react. I have lost count of the times I have...
