    New gaiagps map feature?

The main home page for Expedition Portal has a small feature about a 'new' overlanding map from GaiaGps.com but there isn't anything on that website as of yet. Does anybody know anything about it or is this something that expedition portal did a preemptive press release about?

I'm sure you already considered this option, but am curious as to why not just build out the interior of the trailer?

    Fiskers X7 hatchet: NO!

I have a Fiskars X27 and after years of splitting wood its the best by far. The X7 is equally capable on smaller diameter wood. Both are excellent tools, for splitting, not chopping. And I own about six axes.

    Freaking COVID vs adventures grrrrr!!

Covid from day one has had zero effect on my camping and overlanding ventures, in fact all the better with all the open dispersed camping opportunities. And omicron is more comparable to a viral cold infection and at worse similar to seasonal flu.

New Garmin Montana 700 Series GPS Units with 5" Touchscreen and InReach Capable

@SBSYNCRO: Good initial evaluation. Having owned multiple Garmin units over the years, including an aviation dedicated Garmin, I have become comfortable with their platform. I now own a 700. I certainly agree about the land based mapping features. I certainly wish there was a more...

    Waterport vehicle water supply

On a recent 30 day camping and overlanding trip through Colorado and Utah I realized that the Waterport was one of the most used pieces of gear. It was mounted to a truck bed elevated cargo rack and was very accessible and sturdy. It has the included hand pump which always provided enough...

    Lower budget fridge? Iceco?

The first issue was having multiple numbers on the LED readout missing, even though it started out with just one or two, it is now ALL the odd numbered digits ( 1, 3, 5, etc all the way up to 50) and some even numbers also. The second issue is the temperature variance between the internal...

    Lower budget fridge? Iceco?

This is a timely post as I have a ICECO VL45 which I purchased in July and have spent the last 3 weeks dealing with two issues. I have contacted "customer service" on so many occasions that I can firmly state that as long as you don't have a problem with the fridge itself then yes, its an...

    Overland Expo Mountain West thoughts

I didn't attend either, but I'm wondering whether there is a saturation point of vendors being reached quickly, especially with the expense involved with many of the products I saw featured on those same YT channels you are referring to.
