Thanks for the input.
I ripped out the HVAC stack today but for some reason there is wet stuff falling from the air.... I think it’s called rain.... San diegans aren’t familiar with weather oddities like rain lol.
They sure build these to last. Omg!! Screws everywhere!!
My only issue now...
I’m looking for feedback on removing the cabinet stack rear of the passenger seat?
I want to open it up and allow for a swivel seat but don’t want to lose storage or deal with losing my HVAC (minus the AC lol).
Anyone want to chime in????
This cabinet behind the pass seat is the current offender. Plus I’m six three and getting through the passage way is not easy or a particularly graceful event.
Ideas??
I’ll lose my heater if I remove it which is fine but I’m not sure what’s behind it or how to beautify the hole after.
Sorry for the lull. I got socked back into my other life and work all week. I’m at a bit of a design stall out too. I want to start removing cabinets, to “open it up” but I’m discovering that this was built to survive a nuke!!
I considered a flip Pac style top tent to free up the back half of the roof as a viewing deck. It won’t fit on an E series but it might on a kodoak or FL.
I’m blown away at how hard those lenses are to find (not in red). Seems that the clears go for a fortune if they can even be found. Plasti dip was again my salvation. If I change my mind or stumble across some clears, I’ll just peel it off ?
I’m not a Ford guy per say, but I’ve been around diesels for years and it always comes back to the 7.3 in the end. It’s not quiet, fast or particularly good at one thing, but it’s built for use and it performs well at everything. A 6.0 that’s been bulletproofed would have worked for me too, but...
Your post resonates with me big time!! I explored optioned for two years. My wife and I looked at tons of old raper vans, sprinters, and everything in between. My biggest take away is that if a 4x4 is the plan, there are only three sensible options.
1st. Sprinter van. There is lots of support...
Did a bit today. The wheels looked pretty ratty, so I spent $10 on Black plasti dip. It’s not my favorite choice for durability, but for $10 you can’t beat the outcome. I also did the red lights on the box since I believe it’s illegal to retain them.
I followed your entire build. I’m still floored by your bathroom!! My wife wants the same thing, but I don’t think it’s in the cards for mine. I’d be lucky just to have hot water lol.
We actually bought a house last year and I insisted we install mini splits. It was a jump into the unknown at...
im amazed at how well the interior is built. My wife and i looked at several class B and C RV's and even delved into the Sprinter world, but the build quality was appalling!! BRAND NEW they rattled and squeaked enough to make you deaf. This 23 year old rig doesn'
t have one annoying noise!! The...
It was a busy day. My “new looking” tires had a golf ball sized bulge in the sidewall so I had to prematurity put new tires on her. While we were there, I did new Bilstein HD’s all around. While that was done we discovered my batteries were nackered! After four stops, I finally found them at a...
