I know it's not a van, but there are plenty of ambo fans on here. It's a 4wd ambulance, fresh from the fire district, w/ 5k on a rebuilt motor, and $pendy COT! for $4500!

1988 ford 4x4 van automatic e350..7.3 idi diesel. ran great till the heads cracked. This a great deal for someone who is thinking about a 4x4 van. The engine is bad and is currently pulled out. So that part is done. Still have all the pieces can rebuild or put in a...
Just found some LED angel eyes. This could be a cool, simple add on. They range in power, and size. Up to 300 lumens, and with 60-120mm rings. Probably more options if you dig deeper. Could be a quick & easy addition, and the circular shape might help reduce hotspots...
Wow... Powerful photos.
First trip I did with my ambo i drove it down a narrow Forest Road and promptly wedged the passenger top corner up into a branch. Kept driving and didn't really notice. Just left a scratch, but mangled the tree limb.
Would've prob. crumpled and splintered a typical...
i think it's a good sign of prior ownership/maintenance if a vehicle had functioning aftermarket gauges added. Looks like that shorty has pyro/boost/trans temp gauges, and one on the steering column that goes up to 100. Fuel pressure on a diesel?
What's the average difficulty of adding all the...
These have a top mark, and I'm 90% sure I had it the right way up. I did this all a few weeks back, so the details are fuzzy.
My main goal was to see the difference in light quality w/ the different lenses. I proved to myself that I can add LED modules to the scene lights and still have decent...
So here are some pics from the other evening when I tested out the four LED-module arrangement in a 900 lighthead with the new style gradient (grid) lens, and the old style lens w/ snap-in diffuser.
I should do this side by side in a field to really show any differences, but I think my main...
Yes, the diffuser is held in w/ those snap rings. They make 13 and 26 degree versions of the diffuser. You could probably make a diffuser out of milk-plex translucent white acrylic and have decent results getting good glow from the LEDs.
I'm going for decent camp light over the ability to...
OK, so I did some testing with some LED Sign Modules. These go inside most outdoor illuminated signs these days, and are quickly replacing the old fluorescent tubes. They're weatherproof, and fairly cheap. Ideal scenario would be an RGB version that's dimmable & color adjustable.
Here are some...

Yeah! I dig the MOTO-VAN feather(?) thing, but the wave/mountain bird is cool, too.
I've got a 97 E350 ambo, my buddy has an 80s Chevy Get-Away Van. He and his wife go van-camping with their young son a lot. He's got all the cool, old toys. I've been looking around for something to give him...
Possible paint job options...
This Adventure People van set is on Ebay right now, if you want your kid to be even more into vans:

I guess it's an easy conversion to make when you need something to match up to the giant hole in the back of a cutaway van.
I've seen lots of those sleeper cabs in semi-truck junkyards, would be straight-forward enough to try to bolt one on to an old ambo, box truck, or similar.
This looks fun... Cutaway van + Freightliner sleeper cab and TWIN STACKS! Keep the flat bed, or bob it into a mini pickup?
05 e350/450 sleeper and 8x8 flatbed - $8000
