    Total Composites flatbed build

Do you know how much your camper weighs? My next build will most likely be very similar to what you have done but I think I'll add an extra 2' overhang off of the rear.

    Show me your Overlanding appliances/gear

What burner are you using and how small does it fold up? Would it hold a wok nicely? Is it mild steel or aluminum? I've had a steel one for a long time but it is super corroded from crab pots that always seem to boil over. It also doesn't fold up which makes it bulky to pack around.

Pop up toppers (GFC, Lone Peak, Super Pacific, etc.) how much condensation and or leakage in the PNW or other humid environments?

Just a little bit after I started this thread, this was in my you tube feed. Hmm

Pop up toppers (GFC, Lone Peak, Super Pacific, etc.) how much condensation and or leakage in the PNW or other humid environments?

I'm curious how much condensation forms in these units when parked outside in the Pacific Northwest in the winter time. Specifically units in stock form without added insulation. Also, how much water leaks into the truck bed between the camper and bed rails as well as gaps on the sides of the...

Hard-Sided Pop-Up Camper by Hiatus Campers

Thanks for the report. I'm going to start a general thread about pop up camper shells in humid environments.

The engineers have been busy at FWC

Good point on price and quality. At this point I regret saying anything about it as 4wheel camper is very successful at creating a product that a lot of people are happy with for a competitive price.

    AI camper creations

I like the one that is as wide as a 2 lane highway. MONSTER TRUCK!

Misaligned parts, bat fits, ghost holes. I also watched the video on a large monitor. People probably wont notice if they are using a phone to view content.

The engineers have been busy at FWC

I thought it was interesting that there were a lot of little build quality flaws shown in the video.

Best Kitchen spot-- side or tailgate? Bad weather and normal.

Looks like he has a combination of side and rear kitchen and neither can be used from the inside.

Best Kitchen spot-- side or tailgate? Bad weather and normal.

I went round and round in my head on this and decided to put a trail kitchens box in the camper with the option to remove and set it outside on a picnic table. After 2 years, I have yet to take the box outside. The kitchen box and cooler fridge are both strapped to L track like a raft frame. I...

    Tufport Overlander

They had a different "Overlander" rendering showing a box with no cabover saying coming soon for the last 3 years maybe 4. This image looks to me more like a deluxe topper than a camper.

Order of XPS FRP Sandwich Panels

Be careful with Starboard. It changes dimension a lot with temperature.

Portable Propane water heater inside RV

This brings up a good point about some RV designs being so sealed that CO2 levels could get dangerously high just from people breathing. Regarding the portable water heater. They say no to be on the safe side because it's not designed to be used in doors and has a high risk of being dangerous...

    Chinese Hydronic Heater Troubleshooting Resources?

I've checked thermal cutoff stuff before with an infrared thermometer. You wouldn't be measuring an exact internal temperature but you could see if it shuts off every time the housing gets to a certain temp. If it has a thermocouple, the calibration could be off. If the heater wasn't very...

Diesel heater exhaust penetration through foam core.

It's hard to tell from the pictures. Can you fasten the heater to the flange and then fasten the flange to its mating surface?

Diesel heater exhaust penetration through foam core.

That makes sense for hydronic. For this I'm doing a hot air application.

Diesel heater exhaust penetration through foam core.

Maybe pack the void with this stuff. Ceramic fiber insulation good to 2400F and not very expensive. Amazon insulation link

Diesel heater exhaust penetration through foam core.

I'm curious what people have done when running a diesel heater exhaust through walls / floors with a foam core. Foamular 250 NGX has a max temp of 165F and diesel heater exhaust pipes can hit 400-600F. On my spacekap build I used a double wall boat through hull fitting. The hole through the...

    Battery bank and charger recommendations

I took the plunge and ordered 2 Power Queen 200ah batteries and a Power Queen charger. Came to $1189 delivered with WA state tax. No frills here except having lots of juice. Alloy, I plan to wire these in parallel. LOL Recapping This system will be for off grid winter mountain resort weekends...
