    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

No worries, I'm Nathan and my wife that was also there is Brittany. I've been on here a little while now trying to learn stuff here and there and maybe plan a few trips. After Hidden Falls, the bug has hit us pretty good and we've been trying to narrow down lift options. I'm trying to stay stock...

    SilicaRich's Overland TJ Rubicon Build

Hey there! After reading your first post, I was thinking... that Jeep sure looks familiar. Hidden Falls was a blast... I wasn't sure if you had these pictures but thought your TJ looked great in them.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of it installed. It's crazy how much of a visual difference tires make. Looks good!

New to overland, need some advice

This is what made me nervous about going for a high mileage Toyota LC or 4R... Good powertrain but there's a lot more to a car than just that.

"Bruce" the 2014 Jeep JKUR Build Thread

Great looking dog and Jeep! I'm slowly being convinced to spring for a 3.5" lift instead of a 2.5". Nice work!

    JK/JKU, auto vs manual

I just sold my Boss 302 with a (only available trans) 6-speed stick and bought a '16 JKUR with the 5-spd auto. Auto was a no brain'r as this is a DD that my wife and I can both drive comfortably. Crawling up rocks is enjoyable (left foot braking of course) and is easier on the entire drivetrain...

    Freedom Hardtop Panels

Honestly, they're skinny enough that we usually don't have an issue just sliding them in somewhere in the back with everything. They're long but not too obtrusive to take much thought, at least so far.

Inuvik, eventually. . . and then I'll just wander around.

Looks Gorgeous! Is it crowded in the car when sleeping?

Anvil 2015 JKU Sport Overland Build

Build looks great! I have a white/yellow (long haired) lab with hair that gets everywhere too... I have to pick up at least a rear seat cover like yours.

    Jeep Pickup pics

Just thinking ahead, I wonder how long they'll keep a solid axle up front. I would imagine that once its in the market and is consistently compared and reviewed with the Tacoma and Colorado, Jeep will swap the SFA with an IFS, maybe excluding the "Rubicon" trim or similar. That's just my guess...

Harbor freight offroad trailer, build log move, new tow vehicle.

You've got me interested. I'm looking to build a camping trailer from scratch eventually and need ideas... Honestly, Harbor Freight has most everything I'll need other than a roof top tent and supporting brackets. Disco looks good! Hopefully it'll give you many worry free miles.

    Jeep Pickup pics

If I wasn't using it for mileage, I'd still want a large V8. Can't beat the sound or the rumbling feel. Kinda like the Raptor, I'd still prefer the 6.2L V8 over the Ecoboost.... now my wallet would probably prefer the Ecoboost.

Oh man that looks awesome! Glad to hear your wife is having fun and getting into the off road portion of y'all's trip. LR looks killer in its natural habitat! I'm from Mansfield, TX so I know those views are not what y'all see everyday. lol
