    Need Help: Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

We are in the process of helping out a colleague who has broken down while on an overland trip from London to Beijing via the legendary Silk Road route. We have sourced and shipped parts to a contact in Bishkek for him already. What we need help with is identifying a reputable garage with...

    Superchargers vs Turbo

I have been running a supercharged 4.0 for over 2 years now...it has been problematic and with the vendor & installer unwilling to support the product post sale. Very disappointing. I have needed to do all my own research to make it run halfway right, adding aftermarket programmable MAP sensor...

    hauling trailer through soft sand

David, All the advice here is good. As far as sand ladders go, you can be fancy or you can simply carry several pieces of 2'x 2' x 3/4" plywood. You'll get 8 our of a sheet and you can use them for all sorts of purposes such as getting unstuck, leveling out your trailer, putting under your...

    Hardware advice for ladder attachment

Ed, My suggestion would be to purchase 4 of McMaster PN 8860T82, attach them to the underside of the roof rail and use 2 shortened ratchet straps to hold the ladder in place. We have used the 8860T82 as ratchet hold downs in the back Scotty's FJ40 with great success.

ADVENTURE TRAILERS “PYRAMID LAKE ADVENTURE”, NV. JUNE 21st-22nd-23rd

Wow! What a good time! We are so pleased with how the event turned out for a first time experiment. Everybody had fun and left with a smile on their face. We could not have pulled it off without the help of Brian at Totally Off Road in Sparks, Jim's guys from Nth Degree, Chuck Faulkerson and...

    Bearing Buddies

Righto Andrew.... We put them on our trailers because we expect there to be water crossings, mud, dust and wildebeasts. The spring in the BB exerts about 3 psi of pressure on the packed grease which keeps grease in the bearings as opposed to conventionally packed wheel bearing where grease can...

    TacoChaser-sneak peek

The Serengeti was a sample. The fabric, design and sewing quality are excellent but the base & ladder leave a lot to be desired. We tried to negotiate with the maker to merely import the fabric and we would build improved bases and ladders stateside but we could not get to a price point that...
