My flex panels were mounted such that they were shaded a bit by the rack, the wiring and the plumbing vent jack. I deleted the AC and the roof tent when I ordered the trailer. I had to be very brutal to get the panels off the roof when I upgraded, so I simply tossed them off the roof. My...

The X22 solar installations on the roof are laughably bad. They lay the wiring right on top of the glued down flexible collectors, they mount the collectors such that part of them is under the tent, and part under the edge of the AC. They actually lay the plumbing vent flange right on top of...

I'm finding that a lot of people have no idea how their system works or how lithiums must be treated. Since the X22 is wired with only one battery bank, I get comments about the second battery not working. When the batteries get cold and won't charge, a lot of folks point out the system doesn't...

I didn't spend "thousands of dollars redoing" my electrical system. I upgraded to a larger array of much better panels, added a Victron dc-dc charger with Anderson plug and wiring, and did some additional stuff inside. The original collectors were installed wrong and were low performace...

I don't know anyone who has had a problem with the Go Power stuff in an X22, but I'm sure there must be some. I love mine. Victron, by the way is not perfect and many of their dc-dc chargers were recalled for a redesign because of overheating. My buddy had a Victron inverter burn out and the...

-40 is a bit of an exaggeration, but the Xplore's don't have pipes "in" the walls. The shore water and the exterior shower pipes pass through the walls, but don't travel along inside the walls. The shower pipes travel along under the shower pan, above the floor, and then up between the shower...

Imperial doesn't seem to understand electronics or solar very well at all. Too many compromises made where not necessary. Unvented inverter compartments and shaded solar panels are part of it. I was disgusted when I saw the solar panel installation work they were doing and did on mine. They...

The X and XR 22s are out of production. Also, it's not the workers that make decisions on things like screw sizes. Isaac makes those decisions and the workers just do what he says and use what he provides. But the workers tend to strip them out or leave other fasteners out.

There has been some sway issues. Mostly it seems, from light duty tow vehicles and having the rooftop tent, and on the XR22, positioning the bike too far back inside. A Ram 3500 is an excellent tow vehicle. I'm towing my X22 with a Tremor and have no sway issues at all. There have been a...

I It is absolutely critical that everyone buys from a reputable dealer. If you do, the warrantee issues will be handled with no BS and they will have the ability to fix stuff. We all want the best price, that's a given. But that can be a trap. And price does not equal good service or...

One of my favorite places is Saline Valley, in Death Valley National Park. The road in is over 50 miles of dirt, roughness and washboard. The suspension on the Oliver is crude leaf springs with useless little shocks, limited travel and metal to metal stops. Even at 10 mph, it takes about 5-6...

Have you had a chance to see an X195 in person and check out the build quality? I'm looking forward to doing just that, but haven't yet.

I don't think the aluminum frame is the problem, as the frame is cradled by a galvanized truck assembly that mounts the suspension. The stock suspension is very minimal, but Oliver has no incentive to change it since they sell a lot of trailers and the trailers are not designed to go off-road...

I do recommend Facebook for the page I recommended. Very valuable and no BS. There is also another page called Caravan Specialties that is also dedicated to similar stuff, but more specifically to Black Series. My friend has been working on a solar tacker for RVs you might be interested in. I...

A possible fix for the battery low temp cutoff is to cut in a muffin fan right in front of the batteries, on the vertical front face of the bed. Then cover the top and left and right sides of the battery bank with a blanket or Harbor Freight moving blanket. This would blow warm room air...

More info: I removed my stairs and use a Little Giant two step. Much better. The stock water pumps fail at a very high rate. The problem is the connection of the strainer. It is not a threaded connection and it leaks air in so the pump loses prime and cannot get it back while sucking in air...

Slim, Go the the Facebook page: Xplore 22 trailer community. There are over 400 members and the page is dedicated to camping, trailer upgrades and problem solving. A great bunch of people. I have an X22 and have done about 50 mods to it. ROA has done two videos of my trailer.

I love how the U bolt plate is holding the whole thing together. Look at the unsprung weight of the axle, the springs and the drum brakes. Notice too, that the shackle pins and equalizer are not greaseable. This means they are using the typical cheap plastic dry bushing at the pivot points...
