Damn Don, sorry to hear this. I would suggest the most common way outside our location would be to use a fork lift above the camper from the backside and sling two straps completely under the camper. Once off, set on a few HD sawhorses while the truck is repaired. To take apart the camper for...
Check out some Goose Gear options, they open towards the center isle and allow access to gear while inside or outside the camper. A traditional drawer system is not ideal for what I would call an internal living space camper like the Canopy Camper or Khaya. (y)
If you order the 2nd generation mounting kit, you can switch to. 3rd gen anytime by just removing the “horseshoe” spacer that corrects the bed rail difference. ;)
Hey man! :coffee: I’m away from my shop and photos, but in short there are two holes laser cut into the top, rear, right of the camper and an Anderson SB50 plug can be installed in this place for installing solar. As far as running the wiring, drop me an email (rino@ok4wd.com) and when I’m back...
Brilliant use of space and after hearing about the bed rug install from ROKO, i ordered one up as well! Should help big time insulating the steel bed on my ZR2.
I do not, but i have some test fitment shots , https://ok4wd.com/brands/alucab/alu-cab-explorer-canopy-for-jeep-gladiator . They literally use the same mounting system as a third generation Tacoma and share a near identical bed width and length. It is important to note, that you must...
In the past, the simplest way to attach the Shadow Awn to the Leitner Designs systems was to replace the load bars with Alu-Cab 1450mm units and utilize the load bar awning mount kit. This is a fully bolt on solution, but a set of mounts could also be fabricated by the end user to utilize the...
Now you are talking
Here are a few angle shots for you on a Tacoma https://ok4wd.com/blog/online-garage-2019-toyota-tacoma-outfitted-alu-cab-canopy-camper/
Haha currently i'm a slave to the machine so getting away that long is tough, but hopefully in the near future! ? If we run into each other the beers are on me, thanks for the support and hope the camper treats you well.
Hey! I do not think it will work on the Khaya as the flared cupboards make the width different then the Canopy Camper but i will be sure to check when it arrives. I personally recommend the Front Runner water tanks for guys with empty Khaya campers, just like Mountain State Overland built out in...
Check out https://www.defendersnorthwest.com/ up in the PNW, they have the Autohome tents on display.
And in addition to the 63" width they also offer the XL which is 70" wide.
Ahh i know the feeling!
So the main benefit of a midsize IMO is simply to fit on trails where i'm located in the north east. My ZR-2 Bison is about maximum width and length that can be squeezed between trees. If i were to live in the south west i would realistically buy a camper for our Ram...
Suspension upgrades are always a good idea when adding a camper IMO. Our go to for the Tacoma's is the EL096R springs which handle the canopy camper, awning+ shower and average gear without the need for air bags and rides great. Not shiny stuff, but from selling OME for 30 years we can testify...
JT specific canopies and canopy campers are on the water and will be landing in January! ? I will be sure to update you guys with some photos once we do some physical fitments.
