New Alu-cab Khaya Camper for sale in US - details with pricing now available

Sorry for the delay guys! I was able to check out the Khaya 4 this past trip to Cape Town before the holiday, it is super impressive. It basically takes the concept of the Ossewa (4 sleeper / 90% outside living) and packs that punch into a slide in camper on a 5' mid-size truck. Basically...

After way too long I finally have some "good" pictures to share and help highlight some features of the Canopy Camper! (y) This example is a 6' model in silver fitted to a AC/LB 3rd Gen Tacoma. First things first, fitment. When we set out to design the Canopy Camper we wanted a product that...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

You are right on! Weight is definitely a big factor, we could create a door that could handle a 35" tire but it would increase camper weight along with costing where the majority of folks will be 33">. I would suggest a CBI rear bar with carrier if 35" tires are in your plans. The door has a...

Alu-Cab Has Landed In The USA!

Well I haven't had any customers report getting struck by lightning, but then again maybe because they were struck by lightning... :p To be honest it sounds a bit frightening but I do not have a scientific answer for you, my recommendation would be to call it if the weather is that bad and...

Six of one, half a dozen of the other really  Both will have the same overall length within inches, part of the beauty of the Khaya is a 6' camper even if you already have a 5' rig. I guess the only notable difference is the axle being about 12" further back under the camper, maybe...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

The canopy camper can be removed, but to make a proper seal ribbon sealer or sikaflex must be used (think of removing the roof or glass out of your car). It can totally be done and jack mounts can easily be made for the extrusion skeleton, but you will have a fair bit of time removing, cleaning...

Which tent for frequent use by tall people? Alucab, JB?

The front is 46" and the rear 51" inside. Exactly, the awning can attach right to the EXP III versus needing a platform rack. It is a dangerous place to visit with a JKU ;)

Which tent for frequent use by tall people? Alucab, JB?

The Alu-Cab Gen III inside length although advertised at 2100mm measures at 84" and at the lowest point up front is 9" tall when opened. As far as longevity and durability the Expedition III is unmatched, I currently have a JB / Shadow Awn on my JKU but my next setup will be an Alu-Cab without a...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

That is the German distributors site and i'm guessing they posted up a weight based on estimate. We weighed our palletized campers and deducted the weight of the awning, table, tire carrier, pallet and cardboard after install.
