    Comfort of a RTT mattress!

We like the idea of the single double air matress idea, but want to try with what we have before possibly going that route. Don't want to spend money if we don't have to. But we have'nt ruled something like that out yet. After many nights of sleeping with a sleeping bag, we did want to go with...

    Comfort of a RTT mattress!

As stated earlier, we thought we were the only ones with issues the the RTT sleeping pads. Our firest attempt was a memory mattress without the OEM pad - didn't work, too thick. We then thought of our twin air mattresses from our sleeping bag. We knew that these things have a mind of their own...

The Arizona Strip, May 9-15 2009

The Bar 10 does'nt or did not serve meals to the outside public, only to their own guests. They do have showers there though that makes up for it. I would rather have a shower after a couple/three days on the trail than a meal served to me. They do have a gift shop with cold drinks and snacks...

Sent you a PM on some GPS coords. See if they help. Have a great time out there. Remember the Bar 10 Ranch now sells fuel and always has had water.

    Comfort of a RTT mattress!

What great timing on the rebirth of this thread. We just returned from 5 days in Utah during whick we had an ongoing discussion about this very topic. Sore shoulders, hips and arms do not make for a good nights sleep. We had already tried the memory foam idea, but the tent wouldn't close, so...

Nevada Trophy 2012 coming up soon

Well, here is a dumb question, but where does one find the "Rules"? We looked all over their site and nothing. And does anyone know if it is full yet? We have e-mailed ORE about it though. Gary

X'2 with Lance. With the FJ think weight. Every pound you add is one less for storage. BTW - great looking FJ, you won't be disappointed.

    Need FJ Cruiser advice

'07 here with 82,000+ miles. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Still smile when I pull it out of the shop. The fam is myself, the navigator and two dogs. A couple of years ago, pulled the rear seats out and converted all the space to storage with the dogs on top. If you have children then that...

    Water Storage solution

Frank, some answers. I have the tank enclosed in a storage unit behind our seats. On top of that we usually have two dog beds and our 2 mutts so we don't hear any sloshing at all. Even without the dogs we don't hear anything. I have had the storage unit out lately and yes you hear sloshing but...

    Water Storage solution

That's very interesting that they would have something like that. IMHO, if someone wants to get really frustrated trying to weld plastic, that unit would be ideal. Not sayin it wouldn't work, just very complicated. On what other forums have you read about it? Just curious. Thanks,

    Water Storage solution

Again, thanks all for the props. We have taken this out on the trail several times to have found a couple of small leaks. Took out the tank and fixed all the leaks, so on that front everything is fine. There was another issue that cropped up when demonstrating the system, water only spurting...

Who would be interested in a 2012 "End of the World" Maya Rally?

My nagivator and I were discussing this after a couple/3 Squatter's from Salt Lake C. - really good beer. This sounds like a woot or is that hoot, not quite sure which right at this moment. I was thinking that I could put in alot of OT for comp time, but at the same time I could be fired really...

IMHO, May would be better, but who knows what this winter holds. By May the roads would probably be dry for better travel. As I said in the thread, we had extremely good weather with the temps being just right and more importantly, no winds. We want to go back and do it again and take even...

    Calzona Overland Expedition 2011

Dave, Great, great run planned. Amazing how much pre planning is required for something like this. The run is the icing on the cake. Enjoy. How many signed up for the ECDD portion? Have always wanted to do it and if you're not full and want more company, I would like to tentatively throw in...

Equipt introduces the Indel B Travel Box Portable Fridge

IMHO looks like a rebadged Waeco/Dometic. Same type of controls, the handles, the look of the thing. Not bad mouthing the product cause my Waeco has been bullet proof for the two years+ we've had it.
