I'm in GA where you can cut the humidity with a knife. Going out in the summer can be a very miserable experience in a tent if it's not vented correctly. But at 90% humidity, you're still going to sweat.
Late Fall, winter, and early Spring are ideal times, but having an A/C in a trailer makes...
Is Alu-cab the only 270deg awning that comes square off the back?
Does anyone make a side and rear awning that can be connected with a "bridge" piece?

Conqueror uses a Dometic A/C unit
Probably one of these marine grade units. I'm sure a quick call or email could answer the question.

I don't think it gets much better than the Patriot Campers X1 Grand Tourer or the Conqueror UEV490/440 Platinum.
The kitchen setup on the conqueror is hard to beat but the Patriot X1 has the better tent I think.
It would be hard for me to decide but I may go with the Conqueror since you can...
Oh I see now.
I guess you could run a larger awning that travels on the side of the rig and switch it to the back when cooking.
Either way it would not work since I don't have a frontrunner nor do I have a rack that would fit that bracket or mount.

I don't think it sounds silly at all.
If you're heading to Africa, maybe look into a conqueror trailer. It would be far more suitable as a "base camp" style trailer. They are expensive though.
I guess it just depends on how utilitarian you want to get.
Depending on when you want to go it...
I want coverage over my tail gate when I'm cooking but the 270 awnings do not come square off the back and leave some tailgate exposed.
Is there a 270 awning that comes square off the back or a rear awning that covers more area with "wings"
I know the Alu cab awning is square off the back but...
Agreed. I thought those were the best options as well. Plus it doesn't affect you departure angles. Although it will affect you min allowable angel between the rig and trailer.
If you are looking for more of a toy hauler though Nuthouse Industries makes a pretty nice one. It's huge though...
It just depends on your intended use.
I think it works great for a toy hauler that doesn't see anything more than a dirt road. I bet it could also be modified pretty easily for a trailing arm suspension and larger tires.
It is too expensive for what you get, on that I'll agree.
There is...
A quick Google search and I can up with these
To be honest though, if you are hauling toys and need room for a tent I think I would try to modify a sylvan sport trailer
What is your tow rig?

Andy,
I don't want you to think I'm trashing your product, because I'm not. I've seen your work and it's excellent. I just think, at this time, the cost is too high.

Similar, yes, a little too big and not the right draw system but definitely on the right track. Thanks for the heads up on that.
