    The original expedition vehicle...

Been spending all of my time trying to get the engine tuned..... blech... got tired of trying to make the engine run well and decided to tackle another project. I needed a way to mount my new seats... proved to be a rather involved thing the try and do well. After some time with the bender and...

    2010 waterproof compact cameras

I have the new Canon D10... took it with me to Baja for 3 weeks and it did great without a hiccup. It's been dropped, spent most of a day underwater (oops), and generally abused. Battery life is good and picture quality is better than I expected. Goes alongside the DSLR's great.

    Real opinions about the Liberty...

I say don't get one unless you are comfortable under the hood of a vehicle... mechanics who have worked on these things (or even know they exist) are not becoming more plentiful. Mine is worth every penny and hour I've put into it.

    Moab Jeep Jamboree

Go for it... you'll have a great time. Not sure why so many people feel the need to hate on the big gatherings. Yes, it's crowded.... yes, it takes some patience. You do get to meet a lot of fun people though and can see lots of cool rigs. It would be hard to not have a good time.... :)

    autostitch panorama

You need to change the settings in autostitch... it defaults at a low quality "proof" for the sake of speed. You can set the pic size and quality to 100% for stitching but be ready for it to eat up some system resources. Here's a sample of what it can put out (of course, resized for the net)...

    What would you guys do?

If you build a sturdy lid, you can mount the Thule rack to the lid. That's the way my trailer is and it's been great. I can open the lid with the tent opened up without any troubles. Strong struts will hold it up without any trouble.

    tent on trailer

Mine's really high up there.... and I've wheeled it all over with no tipping issues. It's attached to the hinged lid with some strong struts so I can open the trailer when the tent is deployed with no issues. The top of the tent is almost at roof level on the KJ.

Edged Tools? What do you use?

The handles really make the tool with the chain saws... I've used the "survival" type and that is quite the painful process:Wow1:

Edged Tools? What do you use?

Very true... I generally ony use it for cutting larger branches off of fallen trees for firewood. For the tiny space they take up, they are awesome. I don't recall the brand that mine is... google "manual chain saw" and you should see a few.:ylsmoke:

Why a RTT vs. a Kamp Rite Tent Cot?

I mulled over this whole debate for a looooooooong time... I generally take a few trips each year that are 2-4 weeks each. One of my big concerns with the RTT was the inability to set up a "base camp" and leave it set up while I go play. That's my normal trend and I didn't want something that...

Wasatch Cruisers - Colorado (Part2) Poughkeepsie Gulch

Can someone explain what happened? Which line were they trying?

Edged Tools? What do you use?

No one's mentioned trauma shears... sad thing is they see more use for me than just about anything else... haha I also am a big fan of my chain saw... has come in handy MANY times

Oh I thought these were from this last summer.... that's why I was confused. I thought maybe Forestry had changed their mind or something....

Wasatch Cruisers - Colorado (Part2) Poughkeepsie Gulch

I wonder who took down the ropes on far driver's left line at Poughkeepsie. (not at all implying you guys did)... last I heard, that was closed due to erosion control and they were trying to restore it. When we were there 3rd week in uly it was still roped off. Hmmmm....
