"Lola" - WreckDiver1321's 2005 Frontier CC/SB Nismo Build and Adventure Thread
We will keep BC a secret then. ;). We have friends in Lolo, love the area. Ridden the Lolo Pass a number of times. Been to Red Lodge to visit friends and ridden The Beartooth Pass. I proposed to my Wife...
Burgers, off-roading, checking out wildlife, a spin in an airplane, and shooting. That sounds like perfect weekend to me. And great pictures as always. We've travelled through Montana a few times as well, on bikes and driving. The views are nothing less than spectacular.

Great pictures. The wife and I have ridden the Olympic Peninsula and all over the Oregon coast on our motorbikes and it really is an epic part of the world.
Now that it's all done (except for the alignment) I thought i'd post up some details about what I installed and why.
So living in Canada can make things a lot more costly to source. With the low Canadian dollar and insane shipping/freight charges from the US to Canada we really have to do our...
So the installation is complete. I had to pull the axle, reset the c-clip, and re install it to be able to continue. Got the passenger coilover installed this morning, and the rear shocks and new leaf packs and shackles this afternoon. I just need an alignment, but it all feels pretty good. The...
So today was to be the day to get the suspension installed, well at least the front. I had everything all organized, and the removal and installation of new coilovers and SPC UCA's on the drivers side went off without a hitch. Started in on the passenger side and then the strap holding the...
I do not believe that RockyMtn X is making any new products, but a person would have to check with him for sure. I know his hidden winch mounts are in great demand and people comment regularly on TheNewX that they can either not get in touch with him, or he has mentioned that he is not making...
Yes. I'm waiting patiently too. Looking for it to warm up a little more outside. I have everything sitting in the garage. I've mounted the solenoid box on the bumper, got the longer connecting cables. I have all my suspension components sitting too. Winter tires come off this Saturday, so that...
We ordered ours from Barney as well. He was nice enough to drive up to Wenatchee to meet us, so we wouldn't have to drive all the way from our home in the Okanagan to pick it up. I'd recommend him to anyone in a second.

Great thanks. I just picked up my Dometic CF-50 today, convinced the CFO that my binge spending was complete.....and now I see this. Very, very interesting.

Well the weather did not co-operate, so I did not get the bumper installed. I got a start on attaching the winch to the bumper in the garage though. I also installed a secondary transmission cooler (which I'd been wanting to do for awhile). I think I will be waiting for another couple weeks...
Thanks. I figured they would do the job. Painted them with rocker panel paint too.
And look what followed me home today. It seems the project list is growing each day.

Does anyone have an idea of clearance of the Gobi ladder when the hatch is opened? I'm trying to figure if one would clear the base of my rooftop tent.
If anyone has a side picture of the ladder with their hatch open, it would help.

Yes. Feels very stable. The tracks that come with the tent can be mounted lengthways or crossways (as I did). I had to buy longer bolts to accommodate our wider rails. I also used some 2 1/4" muffler clamp brackets instead of the flat aluminum pieces they supply to secure it down.

I just put the tent on yesterday. The mattress feels good and it is roomy enough. I'm thinking we will probably make the inaugural overnight camping trip the first weekend of March.

I wanted to pull the bumper 1/2 way off just to get an idea of what will be involved with putting the ARB bumper on, and since I had easy access I replaced the headlamp assemblies. The originals have over 230K km of pits on them and barely threw any light anymore. If the weather is decent next...
