Servicing Ford trucks in Africa, Asia?

I was under the impression that Toyota has a much bigger dealer network outside of North America than the American pickup manufacturers, and thus it would be easier to service any Toyota vehicle. Is that incorrect? In any event, all of the slide-in/flatbed/integrated campers that I’m aware of...

Servicing Ford trucks in Africa, Asia?

Apologize if this has been discussed before, but I couldn’t find it. Does anyone know the odds of being able to get an F-350/450/550 serviced on an extended trip through Africa and Asia? I realize Toyota is a better bet, but Tundras just aren’t big enough for the type of camper I would want.

Springbar type vs dave Ellis tent vs oz

I find it makes things easier even on gravel tent pads. You can drive in a lag screw much faster than pounding in a stake. Anyway, I'll stop hijacking the thread.

Springbar type vs dave Ellis tent vs oz

I have a 10x14 Springbar for my family of 3. We like the extra space. For 10x10 tent pads, we obviously have to extend outside the official tent pad area -- hasn't been a problem so far. Unrelated tip for Springbar owners: Ditch the stakes and use a drill/driver to drive in lag screws topped...

Gazelle tents--how do they do in wind and rain?

I have one that flew a good 100 ft. in a windstorm because I (foolishly) hadn't staked it down. Also, the roof on mine eventually starts to leak in a downpour that lasts a while, although a good dose of waterproofing spray helps a lot. Despite all that, we're pleased with it overall.

Tent Bed Options for Sleeping Together

We have a trailer for all of our camping stuff, so we bought two of these and put them together to make a queen. They're glorious. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N7D6J6Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    4 season off-road trailer

You could consider importing. Some Australian companies make very serious (and expensive) caravans. https://bruderx.com/brochure/exp-6/

Moby1 Going Out Of Business? Has Anyone Received A Deposit Return?

I think part of the problem is that there are way too many off-road trailer companies. Honestly, who really uses them besides some people in our little overlanding subculture (which, like all subcultures today, tends to seem bigger than it really is because of the Internet)? IMO the market just...

1990 Land Rover Defender for only $192,500!

Considering you could get a MUCH more modern and capable vehicle for less than that, I'd say definitely no.

No VIN or vehicle history report. But it's "restored," so it must be worth it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-Land-Rover-Defender-/323365824648?oid=192528571408
