URGENT: Is this a lot of rust?

To me it looks like normal surface rust for a 7 year old vehicle. I don't think I would be too concerned, it doesn't look like anything a wire wheel and a can of paint couldn't take care of.

Battleship Jones: 2015 Tacoma DCLB Build Thread

Good to hear from a fellow Coloradan! It's funny because while some of the other places we have camped have had a relatively small amount of trash at the site, this one was above and beyond. Between the shell casings, broken glass, and plastic remains in the fire pits you could probably have...

"Arctica" 2015 Crewmax Platinum Tundra Build

I'll be curious to see if the new backspacing keeps the tires off of the resevoirs while not increasing your scrub radius enough to interfere with the fenders. That would certainly be another unpleasant surprise.

"Arctica" 2015 Crewmax Platinum Tundra Build

Well this build is certainly moving along quickly! What's the goal for completion date? Also, which Delphi crimpers are you using? I've been browsing around for a reasonably priced pair and have yet to come up with a good solution.

thinking of adding a cap to 2nd gen DCSB

Oops, just realized I never answered this. The LEER systems has cables that disengage feet from the mechanism at the sides. There is a bit of slop in the system and sometimes the two don't disengage at the same time. ARE (at least the one I had) has bars that span the entirety of the window and...

Battleship Jones: 2015 Tacoma DCLB Build Thread

No major updates but I did throw in a set of Redline hood struts this past week. Unfortunately being only 5'7" it is a bit of a hassle to get the hood open and involves walking around the truck hoisting it a little higher until I get around the side in order to get the hood prop in. Honestly I...

    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

Thank you for the insight. As someone who is building their first true offered focused vehicle (still a DD for me too) I am always keen to hear the experiences of those people who have been there and done that. It is very easy to catch the mod bug and build something beyond what needs dictate. I...

    TrekboxX Drawer System Group Buy!!!

Any plans to do something for the mid-size truck market? I know the Tacoma world is severely lacking a quality drawer system like this.

    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

If you don't have one you so need an Instagram. I'm a bit curious. After having owned so many modified Toyotas and pledging to take this build slowly, what is your overall goal/future plans? I'm curious to know where you envision this build going and differing from some of your others.

    100 Series Rear bumper build.

Looking good! I wish my brother would make me a rear bumper. Any particular reason why you chose to have the spare tire center mounted on the swingout as opposed to shifted towards the spindle side?

    Boden Build - 2015 Tacoma DCLB 4wd

Just inquiring as I'll be facing a similar decision in the not too distant future. At the moment I'm leaning towards the swing-out for the pure utility. But then again I'm torn between doing a traditional bumper or a high-clearance so clearly offroad prowess isn't #1 at the moment.

    Boden Build - 2015 Tacoma DCLB 4wd

Nice work! I love how well documented and photographed all of your mods are, not to mention how clean they all are. Any reason you didn't choose to get a swing out tire gate?
