How'd you do on Poughkeepsie? Everything I read about it says its the most technically difficult trail in the area and a lift, biggish tires, and skid plates are a must. Awesome 4runner by the way. If sleeping in the bed wasn't a requirement I would most certainly have given those a hard look...

Granted my only experience is on a Tacoma, but the Icon shocks have significantly outperformed OME for me. As much as I hate spending money twice as well, I'll probably swap out the front OMEs for some Icons when money allows.

I never ended up checking, but I suppose you can now confirm that the inverted shocks at full stuff have no interference with the axle or the mount?

You sure aren't wasting time getting this thing to where you want it huh? Not that I disagree with that philosophy, might as well enjoy the truck as you want it for as long as possible.

The other thing I managed to accomplish lately was to get an axe. It would have come in handy the last camping trip so I picked up an Estwing 26" camper's axe. Estwing products have never let me down so it was a natural choice to get one of their products. I'll be mounting it to the roof rack...

With the skids the springs have definitely come more into their element. I'm willing to bet that once a winch is added they will be the bee's knees.

Just a little update for today. So I have a serious issue with chrome and shiny stuffs. The chrome grill has always bothered me and I decided to do something about it the other day. I took everything off, cleaned it up real good, then hit it with a coat of Plastidip. IMO it looks much better...
