Nice pics. I don't have facebook but have seen some of it. Did you get inside of the Yoho? How was the dinette in person (similar dinette as Kenai)? In theory I like that design as it gives us (2 adults and 2 kids) more flexibility to sit down and gear up (ski boots etc) whereas the Olympic...
They haven't been produced yet. Their prototype is being built/used and then production models (assuming things go well enough) will rollout at the end of December. I sat in the Olympic with the same cushion and shelf, it was good. The Yoho has a similar dinette design and those models are...
Ha, apparently that 620 is close. Those were real pics but I'm guessing not authorized for "release" yet and were taken down.
This is Googles Leftover image from their cache. The Weight was listed out as 1480lbs. The bed was a north south queen size I think. Had Automatic jacks. Little...
The National Luna fridge is the Gucci fridge option. Better in nearly every way from what I can tell. They are the crown gem of these fridges and equally efficient etc. I'm getting the 72L Legacy fridge. ARB/Engel/NL are apparently the bulletproof fridges out there.
I think there is a moon...
Hey man. I got into a Scout Olympic and the bed length worked fine, I wasn't smashed in there...I just had to ensure the pillow wasn't unnecessarily scooched down too far. I'm 6'4" as well. The guy who owned it was similar height and said he slept well. The Roof top tent area is pretty big...
That's an awesome tip on cushion express, thank you!
How is the Cassette toilet working for you guys? I've never had to empty one of those but I'm wondering how much of a nightmare it is lol.
Also, what kind of places can you appropriately dump one of those?
Nice! That's a fairly large space. Might be best to use it for general storage that maximizes the space (perhaps Joolca kit in there too). Then when you want to setup the Joolca, you hang it from a dedicated hanger near there.
I have an email into Ryan about "how to bolt stuff to the Kenai...
Makes sense, I'm sure you'll be busy delivering these!
Question about composite panels like these. Lets say you did want to mount some L-Tracks to the ceiling/walls or bolt something heavy (like a portable cabinet gear bag etc)...how do you best do that? Is it as simple as drilling a hole...
Very cool! Any brands that you remember? I can only seem to find the Mule ones, which are pretty dang nice.
Yeah the Mule bag does mount to the L-track rails...but obviously those L-track rails don't exist on the scout. They have the big metal brackets with the holes on them. That being...
The Scout's have these upper storage brackets where you can hang bags off of them. I'm not super hot on just hanging gearbags off of those hooks and the ones they sell are pretty dang expensive for a simple hang bag. I'm considering something from Adventure Wagon (out of Portland). They make...
This looks sweet. It's like a mini version of the Scout Olympic. One of the things I wonder about that Olympic was the upper storage area on the sides, they just had metal brackets. Do you guys sell any cabinet kits or stuff similar to that by chance? (or something else you might recommend?)
RinseKits are cool for what they were designed for, a quick rinse off of you and the wetsuit after surfing (as you've noticed). I wouldn't go with one at all for the Kenai, but its only an option. Easy skip there.
The Joolca will fit there for sure in the space. Not sure how much you want to...
There are a few nice camper options it seems in this range. The FWC is interesting, tho I've bumped into some people that didn't like the aluminum/condensation side of things. They have to be great for 4x4'ing compared to a 620/Scout/Liberty...that stuff is obviously where they shine...
Man, this is such a nice run down of stuff, you guys are great. So, we have very little experience here but have a similar-ish Scout Kenai coming would like to do some similar things. The proper battery charging from the truck is great, sounds like a typical charging line wouldn't work with...
As is most things of this nature...significant issues are often indicative of poor process. I'm more concerned about the other "stuff" that hasn't burned up a camper and initiated a recall. I could live without the dual source plugin I think but am concerned about other areas of the fridge...
I'm outside in the gorge. Their lead time is a couple months. The first batch of Kenai's is due in the first week of December. I think all of them may be sold at this point. I ordered ours an hour and a half after their release and they had already sold 10 of them. I'd give Apache RV a call...
My cousin has both a 22" Partner stove and a Skottle. It's just him and his wife doing Colorado, AZ and Baja out of Landcruiser so no camper or kids. He said he hasn't dusted off the Partner stove in two years. Apparently the Skottle is just super convenient for cooking outside. Cleanup is...
Am I right in that Partner Stoves are still the best you can get? I need a portable camp stove for cooking inside/out of the camper (it's plumbed for propane both in and out). I've never had a Partner but they look rugged as hell lol. Wish they had a bit more BTU output but it seems like they...
So I called Ford USA to ask about something else but I also asked them what my payload specs were. The guy asked for my exact make, model, trim and engine then consulted his spec book (it seemed). He said it was 3000lbs. I asked him if he was sure and he clarified that it was correct. That...
Hey man, yeah the one graphic screwed up the dimensions, but I have the real ones below. I kind of panicked a bit when I saw the small dimensions...I really needed that dinette to be longer than 56" lol. But yeah Ryan@Scout got engineering to give me the real dimensions (their web developer...
