This problem is only going to get worse. Seems this one got a couple of us and tempted a few more. Red flags were raised. It took me 4 days of doubt, not wanting to slander someone, before it became clear enough to call out his other ads. We need to call the **************** without wrecking it for the...
As clearly not the expert… Others who have chimed in already listed the common tactics. The other posts with the “used” winch that was clearly new and the photoshopped hand which I didn’t pick up on the photoshop) were not posted at the time I bought. After I bought, he only referred to the...
Ktmk36 was a longtime though infrequent user who posted a number of things for sale. Unfortunately he (or hacker) got me because I am stupid.
Within seconds of calling him out, all listings were deleted.
Don’t trust previous credibility or what seems to be a veteran member.
Awesome thanks. Yeah I could see pulling that off. At least the 1.5 spacer is cheap and easy if you need it. I didn’t notice a ride quality difference. The longer control arms a little more $.
Also, AEV says they lift their 4500/5500 2” and push the axle forward 1” along with the highmarks. They told me they do not need a driveshaft spacer and do not put a longer track bar on.
I did a 1.5” spacer and core 4x4 arms to move forward. I am able to run 37s with this (with the AEV bumper...
Just the rear as I lifted the front and their front is only available in factory height. I’d say the rear is considerably better - maybe 50%? Not a whole lot worse than my 2500 was. I did Bilstein 5160s in the back too. I just have a 1.5” spacer in front but changing out to Carli 3” springs for...
Awesome. I did the less expensive 2 stage kelderman and it made a big difference. I talked to them and they said it rode about the same as their 4 link, just less adjustable. I think I still can raise and lower by about 4” which is plenty for me. I just wanted the nicer ride when unloaded. I’ve...
I have a ram 4500. Stock width and 19.5 limit options. Many aftermarket duals push width out too much - over 102”. They are not cheap but I went with stazworks and have both a set of super singles and dual setup for when I need the weight capacity. Definitely looks a whole lot better too.
I picked up a set of super singles from John at Stazworks a few months ago and have been running 37s on them. I just had him do a set of rear duals that I picked up today. I live a couple of hours from him. The wheels are excellent and very heavy duty. He said they were tested at 8,000 pounds...
Ah, so you want to keep the boxes on when the camper is off. I was thinking you wanted it all off. If the boxes stay on most of the time, why not just bolt down?
I have super singles in 37” and will be too heavy so waiting on matching rear duals for my 4500. I’ll keep the front the same. Then I can swap rear setup in and out depending on payload. There is a cool YouTube channel “dangerous roads” with big dual setups going through all sorts of stuff...
I put a subfloor under mine which squares out the bedside area. Boxes in the space as well as just aluminum doors. The whole thing then lifts on and off the bed.
The aluma might be unique in that the entire frame rail has a channel under it that the bolt can slide up and down the length of the trailer.
But the top of a torsion axle looks like this. If there wasn’t a channel, new holes could be drilled.
