GXV Patagonia on the Kenworth K370 chassis

We did not consider it but it is a reasonable option. One advantage of a dinette is the availability of the large wall opening which gives a great view from the dinette. Here is an example...

GXV Patagonia on the Kenworth K370 chassis

On a Big Lebowski side note, we went on a music tour in Alaska last summer and Jimmie Dale Gilmore was one of the performers. I asked him about playing Smokey, the bowler who Walter accuses of stepping over the foul line. Jimmie said he is more well known for his 3 minute performance in The Big...

    Not a bowler either... :)

GXV Patagonia on the Kenworth K370 chassis

It is clear you don’t spend much time on regular RV groups, pretty common question... :)

GXV Patagonia on the Kenworth K370 chassis

No problem, I will handle this... We had an RV Superbag (look it up on the web, sort of a fancy double rectangular sleeping bag) that we had used in our Sprinter camper van and it worked fine but we switched to regular bedding and it works well but it can be a struggle to get the fitted sheet...

EXD 350 - EarthCruiser on flat bed

Very good, I saw the arrival of the dual cab that you posted on Facebook or Instagram (don’t remember which) and am looking forward to seeing info posted on the build as you proceed.

EXD 350 - EarthCruiser on flat bed

Hi Michelle, Yes, no single expedition vehicle can be right for everyone. EC, for instance, has a very clear design philosophy to address the needs of your customers and that has gotten you to the 2020 EC design which I find especially appealing but others will find that it doesn’t work for...

EXD 350 - EarthCruiser on flat bed

I get turned off by sales people who directly compare their product to the competition. Most times they don’t have good info on the current competitive products and come up with inaccurate info. Just give me your story on how your product will meet my specific needs. I appreciate the approach...

EXD 350 - EarthCruiser on flat bed

I see that Michelle responded and EC is clearly the source of the best info. I am a little confused by your post in a couple areas though. The chassis used for the $399K 2020 FX and EXP is not the Fuso 4wd FG (4wd diesel not available anymore in the US), it is a gasoline 2WD truck that is...

Overlander, new “affordable” Earthroamer type rig

I recall EarthRoamer LT using AquaHot for heat and hot water at one time and the HD uses Aquahot. Pretty standard RV system at their price point. And not using double pane glass windows for so long at their premium price always seemed like a poor choice to me. I guess the new Carbon Fiber body...

Overlander, new “affordable” Earthroamer type rig

Note that the GXV UXV and UXV Max which are the same configurations as the two EarthRoamer models use panel construction even in the curved cab over bed area. Looks like it might be molded but it is all panel construction. You will also find a lot more customization available in these in terms...

GXV Patagonia on the Kenworth K370 chassis

You are welcome, it can be hard to get first hand info from owners on these types of vehicles since the owners forums are generally restricted to current owners, at least that is the case for GXV, EarthRoamer, and EarthCruiser.

Overlander, new “affordable” Earthroamer type rig

Yes, the Adventure Truck branded vehicles use molded bodies and are not really customizable and are at a lower price point. A different brand for a different market. All of the GXV branded models are still using panel construction and are highly customizable and at a higher price point. So...

Overlander, new “affordable” Earthroamer type rig

Yes, GXV uses 60mm panels in the walls. They also now do their own panel cutting in their new factory. https://www.globalxvehicles.com/why-gxv.html

Overlander, new “affordable” Earthroamer type rig

As the title of this thread says, “Overlander, new “affordable” Earthroamer type rig”. Yes, EarthRoamer type rig, Bed in cab over, Ford F550 4wd, camper body mounted to truck frame, and beyond that it is hard to determine yet. Has anyone posted the actual price of the one shown? I don’t think...

Overlander, new “affordable” Earthroamer type rig

Well, you have made your disdain for people who own an expedition vehicle with a toilet pretty clear. Since you seem to be intent on trolling this thread, I suggest ignoring your posts is the best strategy to deal with it...

MB 1120 Coming to America! Purchase, Build and Now Travel!

Very good, are you setting the truck up for 120v only or also have the capability to plug into 220v? Our GXV truck is all Mastervolt but a that is pretty expensive way to go. The inverter no load draw is only 18 watts so we usually just leave it on all the time but we have 720 AH of lithium...

Interested in your power outlets with USBs, do those take standard 120v US plugs or are they something different?

Overlander, new “affordable” Earthroamer type rig

Yes, there is a very large increase in RV travel these days due to the baby boomers in retirement along with other factors leading to campsite overcrowding, increased fees, reservation requirements, and generally undesirable options for camping sites for those who prefer to wing it with no set...
