This is from my first majority highway trip with he 255/80's. Mostly two lane mountain roads with speeds varying between 45-70mph. A little bit of snow but didn't use 4WD.

Did an oil change today and forgot to grab a sample for Blackstone Labs. Ran Amsoil again and K&N Oil Filter(it's all Walmart had). I got around to upgrading to the Metal Filter Canister.

Rainbow Falls/Rampart Rd.
I went to a local Overland Meet Up and a few of us decided to do a "quick" run through Rainbow Falls. This trail is mostly a fire road but had some decent snowfall on Thursday night.

Ended up scoring a free pair of Wheel Spacers. I just need to pick up a second pair and I will be set.

255/80 Falken WildPeak AT3W's have been installed. Here are some comparison pictures vs stock size. I am running stock suspension and I do rub a little at full lock and going over bumps.

Yes there is that. I wish they kept the V8(maybe 4.6 like the GX460) in the 5th Gens. Would be so nice on the trails or when you put a lift on them. The 4.0 isn't terrible but I am all stock. It climbs hills, sometimes I just lock out 5th gear. However the hills with wind are an absolute...
2010 to Present is all 5th Gens. 2014 received a "refresh", basically new styling of the front and rear end. The 2003 to Present are basically the same drivetrain, all have the 4.0/5-speed auto.
1st Gen: 1985-1989 Removable Top and 2 doors. Solid Axle was only in 1985, IFS started in 1986

I love the OG Trail Editions! I would trade my 16(post-facelift) SR5 in for an OG 5th Gen Trail. The 4.0 and 5-speed are pretty bullet proof. I have heard of 5th gens running up and over 200K miles on them without any major fixes. I am at 85K on my 16' SR5 and no major repairs at all.
The 4.0...
I got rid of the chrome and used Rust-oleum Peel in Graphite on them. Next up will be the Roof Rails.

The last parts to finish up Phase 1 of the build. I decided to try Rust-oleum Peel Coat in Graphite instead of Plasti-dip. I guess we will see how it compares. LED Headlights and LED DRL/Highs as well.

First Blackstone Oil Analysis has been done. The oil used was Amsoil O.E. OW-20 @ 10,995 miles. I did an Amsoil Engine Flush right before this oil change. Here are the results:
