Tom, i don't think the bends are mandrel bends - the internal area changes and i think the turbulence is what impedes flow.

He is running a lift and aftermarket bumpers. I run 33s on my trail truck, no issues with bumpers and 3.5" lift. These tires and lift will be going on my new expo truck, moving to hopefully 35s on a 4" lift on the trail truck. -Sam

No increase in airflow due to the distance from the snorkel intake to the throttle body, and the restrictions in pipe between the two. A study was done on a racing application with a shorter path from "snorkel" to throttle body and the effects of ram air were proven/ -Sam

Ram air intakes point forward. Another idea fornpointing rearwards that has been proven shows less dust and less rain going into the snorkel.

I took my RRS to Pine Barrens when I had it. Granted it only went on one trail, wheeling with 19s is just plain silly. I don't miss selling my RRS, much prefer my two discos, the RRS IMO is much smaller and more cramped. If you're a bigger guy the RRS isnt for you
