    Four Wheel Camper Flatbed Conversion

I'm curious as to how your handling the seams at the bottom and top where the epanels interface the other materials. Thanks -Chris

    2004 Hemi Ram 2500

I did all four of my balljoints last summer w/ xrf bjs. Nobody had carlis in stock and eta was a big question. Now 8k miles later my passenger upper joint is already showing play. Carlis this time! Im surprised you had to resort to a sledge. Did you put a socket on the bolts after you loosened...

    Me and the Moonlander!

I rode this trail yesterday. It was super overgrown with weeds, but fortunately for me it looked like someone had rode through there on a two-wheeled tractor! :sombrero: How are you getting from LaCosta Preserve over to Elfin Forest on trails? -Chris

What's the coldest you've used a FWC w/ arctic pack or similar?

Thanks for the first hand account. I assume the heat tape is only when your plugged in? Do you have water in your systems if your winter camping w/o plugins? Thanks again, this is the kind of info I was looking for. -Chris

What's the coldest you've used a FWC w/ arctic pack or similar?

I have seen the turtle settup. That was quite the trip -90, woah. I wonder what advancements have been made in the softwall materials since then? -chris

What's the coldest you've used a FWC w/ arctic pack or similar?

I've been working on a new camper plan for the past 2+ years. I have the floor plan and the various systems pretty much committed. It will be based off a flatbed mounted on my dodge 2500. One HUGE decision that I have been going back and forth on is whether to do a popup or hardside. Our current...

Thoughts on suspension for an expedition bicycle

Well if someone came in and told me that description I would steer them toward a rigid fork with some carbon bars and oury grips. That would be a simple settup that would take care of the vibrations(which I think are the most exhausting). That titanium frame is a great choice. But with your...

Thoughts on suspension for an expedition bicycle

I've never been a huge fan of Manitou forks, but regardless of the brand parts availability for something that old is limited to what you can find on ebay or in a dark corner of some shop. Perhaps I missed it, but what are your intentions for this bike? Do you really need a suspension fork...

Thoughts on suspension for an expedition bicycle

I assume its 1 1/8" headtube, I dont remember litespeed doing a 1". Your problem is the rim brakes and staying with a short travel(so your geometry doesn't get jacked up). I usually recommend the rockshox dart to customers in similar situations, but their bikes usually weren't that nice to begin...

    Four Wheel Camper Flatbed Conversion

What kind of saw blade did you use to cut the epanel? I assume a high tooth count circular and maybe a saber saw for the window openings? Any issues with splintering, tearout or melting? Thanks -Chris

    Four Wheel Camper Flatbed Conversion

This is looking great. Did you buy a new door from fwc? Did it come with the jamb and all the goodies? Do you remember about what it cost? Screen door? Im thinking it might be worth it for me to buy one of their complete door assemblies vs building my own. Thanks -Chris

SRAM need a problem for this solution

Again, fullsuspension bikes can have funky cable routing. This year at interbike i was checking out their booth and thinking about the $2000 i would have to drop on their system, and this guy next to me was getting very excited. I look over and its Brian Lopes. I think they had ateast one set...

SRAM need a problem for this solution

Exactly di2 and hydro brakes could open the door for even more funky(and aero) routings. Di2 on tribikes is awesome. Multi position shifters work excellent. -Chris

SRAM need a problem for this solution

Last one..... Tri bikes frequently have funny cable routings and the cable can drag inside the housing. I think thats my best answer. -Chris

I'm wondering if they are thinking about the flat-bar road crowd? The brake could interface with a mtb lever. I'm just brainstorming for applications... -Chris

SRAM need a problem for this solution

The Maguras were uber-popular in the mid-90s with the developing dh crowd and tandem riders, and still are quite popular among trials riders(a very small market segment). I sold/installed quite a few of the Tomac neons. I still don't see the need for a hydro road rim brake, most everyone has...
