Location: Baja Currently, can deliver en-route to Oklahoma, Flagstaff, Custer SD April thru July (See delivery options below)
We are selling our roof top tent, a Pope Overland Expeditions Konza. We purchased the tent in October of 2018, it was...
That's probably the difference between most of the guys on this group, my wife and I ride a lot of gravel and touring type rides (necessity in Oklahoma). We are both just learning mountain biking and it's hard to not bring a gravel grinder with you when you know you're going to be in South...
I have considered this as my MTB is setup 3X and fairly comfortable for long days in the saddle. I might shop around for some budget 29" wheels to put some smoother tires on.
We try to avoid the big "park" style trails as the crowds become more trouble than they are worth and stick to more...
I've lived in Oklahoma my entire life and have never visited here. I've wanted to, but it always seems out of the way. Thanks for the photos, I will check it out someday!
I am not suggesting we go easy on the guy. I hate the culture and "that guy" that is attracted to his feed. It is making it harder for people that respect land and property to travel, but his feed is nothing compared to the irreparable damage being done by the millions of side by sides on the...
You're right. It seems like there is a lot of suppressed anger or resentment toward these people that are able to make a living off of the internet. Is it actually overlanding? No, ask Ted Simon. That guy was an overlander. I am sure there were folks in Ted's day that thought he was hurting the...
I am not defending the guy, but he owned the incident and is taking steps to correct the damage. Why the flame war?
I don't care for his style, his truck, or most of his followers, but how else could he have made this right?
The wife and I will be traveling through the Eastern US (South Dakota across to Nova Scotia then down through Virigina then down along the Gulf in the Winter)from July until December in our skoolie and we are thinning the heard on what gear we bring. We normally have 4 bikes on our rack, but...
With the information provided it sounds like it needs to go. We are full time so our mileage is different, obviously. Charging laptops, drill, wife's nutri-bullit thing are about the only 120 uses we have.
Not to cloud up this thread with extra stuff, but once up and out of Mike's, stay West at the top of the hill and navigate your way toward Rancho Coyote and Rancho La Joya and should put you out at KM 67 on Observatory Rd. That's the easiest way to get down the valley from Mike's that we have found.
My wife and I are housesitting South of Mike's Sky Ranch in the Sierra de San Pedro and we got 6-8" at 4800 feet. Reports we read from the obervatory and condor research group was somewhere around 45cm at the top of Observatory Rd.
There are a couple running around that have a similar paint color, mostly because it is super cheap on Amazon...battleship grey!
This is what ours looks like currently, we removed all of the skoolie lettering and numbers except the 12 on the front and it will likely go away sometime this year.
Was this directed at us? If so, that wasn’t our bus. At least unless my father in law is joy riding around the west coast. It’s supposed to be in his yard in oklahoma.
