Great looking rig. If it was a few months from now, I'd probably be giving you a call.....but who knows? Maybe it'll still be around by then!
I'm surprised it's lasted this long, honestly.
Nope, not yet. I blew it at OvEx, had a chance to try it on a few trucks, but couldn't coordinate with folks. I'll be dragging it along to OvEx this year, even if I don't bring the FG, maybe we'll have a better idea after that.
Hay Allan - what model MUTT do you need for your truck? We really should have discussed it during OvEx, missed that chance. If it's the right version for your needs, I've got the whole system sitting here in a Pelican case - if it comes down to it I can always FedEx it out to you.
Not like the...
Ski - I'd be very interested in hearing about those other seats from the trade show.
My experience with the Stratos was good, however I had less than an hour or so during a test drive, albeit over some decent terrain and speeds. They did perform much better than the National system, which is...
If I can find it, I'll post up a video so you can see exactly how they behave. I think Jon has found out the same issues. I thought about milling out a couple of pieces of nylon or UHMW, and getting a tighter fit on the tracks, to prevent them from making so much noise, but I'm not convinced...
Yep, I do, and the pivots aren't the issue. The issue is the general looseness and non-rigidity of the entire base, and the tracks on the seat itself. Plus the additional height - for me, if I'm setting the seat to have at least a couple of inches of travel (which will still give me a pretty...
I'll probably be ditching the National setup I've got, and going with the Stratos seats from EarthCruiser, when the build gets finalized.
The Nationals really aren't up to rough terrain use - they work, but also have godawful squeaks all the time. Really annoying, and then there's the...
I think all it does is specific gravity?
Just looked it up...high grade prilled urea and distilled "32.5% of high grade environmental urea is mixed with 67.5% deionized water to create what is known in the industry as DEF or AdBlue "
Not rocket science to do, and might be an interesting...
LOL...and a dealership strikes again.
The regens are done automatically, I've never had a single time that I've had to pull over and do a manual, forced regen. Likewise, I've never had a single time that I've had to pull over while the system does a forced regen. Every regen has been done while...
There are actually a couple of different sizes of the ball mount - I'm using the larger of the two. With the ipad weight, I don't think the small, standard size would do so well.
I did a ram ball mount right between the seats, for the ipad. Eventually I'll move up up a bit higher, up on the dash. One thing to remember with the ipad though - they really, really don't like heat. As in "time to shut down, case is too hot" kind of behavior. When I do make a dash mount...
I'd also verify that it's pulling tight on the brake end of things, first. Might still be a cable issue. :coffeedrink:Unless of course you've already gotten there, in which case....back to my beer.
Sure you don't need another rig, Mog?
If we were up in Oregon already, I probably would have gone ahead and grabbed one of these. Still looks like a good deal to me.
