Ob-Pretty much the same setup on the Arkto though I don't have solar yet of course.
TGK-We spent some of today putting pots/pans, clothing, etc. in the Arkto today. It's still in the garage and we were able to do everything without taking it out and popping the top which was great. We are...
Thanks Ob. This one really has me stumped for some reason. Should be simple, no. I've even wondering about adding bars or a rack to my RSI SmartCap that's on the truck and putting fixed solar on it then simply running the charging cable from the fixed panels to the outlet on the camper. Of...
Wow. I've been going to "solar school" and for the life of me cannot differentiate one brand from another except for features like waterproof, etc. What makes Zamp "better" than the rest as there is certainly a price point difference?
Do the suitcase type stay upright in wind? Of course, not...
Utah next month. That's the goal anyway....large family with obligations tends to get in the way. I was supposed to be hiking the Arizona Trail now....nope. Will keep ya posted.
I need to purchase portable solar.
Beaver Dam area...all dispersed? iOverlander or such to find a spot or you...
That is the same info I received a while back (not from the owners though). Wasn't sure if it was rumor or not so didn't mention it; thx for confirming from the source. Their Purpose is pretty cool.
I trust Arkto's listed 19'4" coupler to spare tire measurement on their website; there is more room than it looks like in the photo as I can easily walk behind the camper and have a little over 3' including the front and back. I didn't measure the clearance but though I was expecting 2-3"...
The Eagle has landed. Proof that the Arkto G12 will fit into an 8 ft. high garage.
Options included in this build are two heated Li batteries, heated fresh water tank, insulated roof canvas, BMPRO Smart Sensor Kit, inverter, 270 degree awning, and portable toilet. I will install ARK XO weight...
Though I'm not in the market for a Turtleback, I've always like their products and can only hope it's an April fools joke.
In the same vein, there is a very high end Class B Sprinter and Transit van manufacturer/seller where I live. Fantastic looking products. Their business has clearly...
Perhaps not the right forum but from their website today:
We are saddened to announce that, due to unforeseen circumstances, Turtleback Trailers will be halting production for the remainder of 2023.
It’s been such a great journey creating memories with you. We have loved every part of this...
Agree rehammer81. While it has some promise, it's a long way before I'd remotely consider purchasing it. In addition to your above comments, will add that the bathroom is atrocious. Nasty cesspool bacteria laden infection potential; it needs to be simplified tremendously.
Looks awesome and hope it went well! The only judgement I have is of your personal character taking care of your daughter. Nothing but the highest respect for you.
