Mother Nature was in a cooperate mood yesterday so here are some additional pictures I was able to take. Enjoy and let me know if you need any additional close-ups.
Looking at downsizing our vehicles and going w/ a much lower monthly payment and I have been eyeing a 2000 LandCruiser w/ 95k on it. It was pretty much was a life-long grocery getter. Dealer has had it listed for a few months now and wants it gone - he wants me to make an offer. Its listed at...
Here are a couple of pics from this morning showing the Aluminess Box, Hoop Steps, Toyo M/T's(which still have the 'hairy nubs' on the sidewalls) and the Billet Grill/bumper/fogs- van is a bit dirty, I haven't had a chance to get down to the carwash yet...
FYI - on the recently added pics they do not show the Toyo M/T's, The nerf bars have been replaced w/ SuperSteps (nerf bars were rusting) and the Aluminess Baja box is not installed. sorry - the pics are from earlier this past summer - the weather hasn't been cooperative to take pics
Thanks for all of the compliments guys.
Currently it has 48,570 miles and will probably only see a few hundred more this winter. I don't drive it in the winter aside from a short trip to town every other week or so to keep things moving and batteries topped off.
I'll get some interior shots...
2001 Ford E350 V10 w/ Quigley 4x4 conversion
Only has 48,507 miles. You will not find a cleaner van with miles this low for this price!
This van has the popular Sportsmobile RB-50 floorplan w/ Penthouse pop-top (see sportsmobile.com for additional info) which comfortably seats 5 and sleeps...
I've got the big 4D battery in my SMB. Usually running the fridge, lights and water pump every now and then I get a solid 2+ days before the level starts to get low. I probably could go even longer but I'd like to not run the battery down too far. Usually then I just fire up the van and let...
got a 01 V10 and we love it. The V10 is a pretty reliable motor, tons of power, quiet. Yeah your mileage will avg around 12ish mpg's but the above poster didn't mention that it's actually cheaper to run the V10 over the noiser, trouble-prone diesel. They only get maybe 15mpg.
Van looks good!

We picked up a used SMB last summer and have been really pleased w/ our choice. We got a V10 equipped Quigley and for us we have had zero issues w/ it. For us the 4wd is for a bit of winter driving in snow and getting out away from the other campers etc... no interest in rock crawling type...
Cruiseroutfit....
where did you get your Taco sprayed? Any other comments? Looking for someone here along the Wasatch Front to spray my rear rocker panels and front bumper on my SMB

Getting ready to install an Aluminess swingarm and cargo box w/ my existing Reunel bumper. It looks like I'll need to trim about a 1/2"x12" section of the bumper where the swingarm rests.
The tricky part is that the Reunel bumper is constructed w/ approx 1/4" steel plate. If I get some good...
did you have to make an other modifications? How difficult was the install?
I have been thinking about upgrading the front springs on my 01 Quigley equipped Sportsmobile. The stock springs are definitely lacking...

Looking at getting either a Honda EU1000i or the Yamaha EF1000is generator to top off the batteries in my Sportsmobile.
I only need to be able to top off the house batteries which run the fridge, lights and fan. I do not have a microwave or AC, hence my decision to go w/ a slightly smaller and...
any ideas for stripping the old powdercoat? Do I go at w/ a pretty abrasive grit sandpaper, a chemical stripper or can most paint shops sandblast it?
It's a behemoth of a bumper, sounds like it's in the 250-300lb range, would rather not have to remove it.
Thanks
