It is a Thule T2 with a hitch bar extension (to move it father back to allow the rear door to open). The Thule hitch is convenient, but only if I am not doing severe off-roading, i.e., impact on rear departure angle. The only reason why I do not use this all the time is the T2 hitch-mount rack...

I have a Baroud and we enter it from the rear using the Land Rover Disco rear ladder (mounted on the rear door). It save us space from having to carry the RTT ladder.
Here is a pic of the isothermic kit. It is a wrap-around inside the tent using velcro. Hope this helps. I bought the Baroud tent at the beginning of the year. I have not had a chance to use it yet.

Your posts remind me of my childhood. I spent my childhood in Malacca when my father worked in Malaysia. We then moved to Singapore when I was 7 to begin my formal schooling (my family were Singaporeans). I moved to the States in 1988.
