Four Wheel Camper - A Review

Yes, yes, park it on a rock and post some pictures; we've never seen that before :sombrero:. Or, better yet, go to a formal campground where you're surrounded by other campsites and tons of people. Be sure to park the camper right next to the picnic table and fire ring. Then, for the next...

    My Aussie Gen4 Pajero

The truck is looking great, and the modifications are coming along nicely. How much did the aux tank cost you? Where will it be mounted?

    Campfire Shots

Brad, I really like this shot. Shot with the new camera? I like that the trailer and kitchen are dimly lit in the background...it draws the viewers eyes into the photo. I really am glad to see people posting up new pictures all the time. Glad to see people getting out and exploring new...

Rubbing salt in the wounds of the rest of us? ;) Both of them were really sweet. I felt lucky just to get to see them.

    What Cameras Do You Own?

I believe it. For me: Pentax K1000 Nikon: 1) N90s 2) F5 (still my favorite) 3) D70 4) D200 5) way too many lenses to enumerate here. 6) Nikon coolpix for very light and compact travel

I happened to look up the cost of the part throught the dealer I told you about earlier. If it was the serpentine tensioner, then it's only $117 at Southwest Mitsubishi. I have yet to find a better dealer for both parts and customer service. And, if you end up having a local dealer do the...

Aaron, definitely come find me at ExPo. I want to listen to this, as I don't think I've ever heard it on mine. But, now that Bjorn says that his is doing the same thing, I'm curious.

Quick Fists to hold axle/drive shafts??

I've never done this, but you'll want to verify the weight limits on the quick fists. I am guessing that those are static-load weight limits, not dynamic. If you're in an accident or have to stop suddenly, the kinetic energy stored in the shafts while in motion will be much greater than when...

    Nikon D5000 Preview

Don't worry about the pricing on the D200...just keep it. It's still a great camera that should last you for many more years. I too almost bought another one at $600. But I'm really trying to save for a full-frame camera that I hope will last a long time for me, regardless of what Brad says ;)...

Certainly; I'd be interested in photos and the exact model bumper you chose. But you can post them up in my build thread (see signature) so we don't keep diverting from Aaron's build thread. Thank you for the help! TD

For overlanding, I would disagree. Even before I added the ARB locker in the front, I was surprised how far you could go with decent tires and the rear LSD, even with lifting wheels both front and rear. Now with the locker up front and judicious use of the handbrake to increase rear traction...

    Nikon D5000 Preview

I agree with you on the LCD not being sharp enough to use for focussing. Macro use was what I thought about too, but you're right that it probably wouldn't prove that useful. I already have the lenses...now I'm looking to get back to full-frame. I can't stand the 12-24 lenses for landscape...

Wow that's a lot of camera and a new LCD. This really makes me wonder what's in store for the D300 and D700. What's around the corner?

I certainly hope not. The gen II trucks are the perfect balance of utility and comfort. I still miss my '94 LS. Every time I see these great gen I and gen II builds, I want to explore getting one again. Possibly a '98 or '99. You can get ARB lockers front and rear, sliders made right here in...
