Please elaborate ---- mine has performed perfectly (after parts upgrades, drain valve and bottle opener/hasp) for over a year so far. It's been bounced around thousands and thousands of miles and still looks brand new.
I like the pressure relief valve.
But the 45 qt is $125 more than the Ozark Trails 52 qt....
Still less than a YETI but not winning the value award.
BTW, Best Cooler didn't list Ice Brix in their reusable ice shoot-out. I love the stuff. I get chemicals at the lab and other products shipped...
Thanks, rontaki. I'll keep an eye on my Nitecore.
I do plan to use this for both camping and potentially SAR missions. I've usually got at least 4 other flashlights in the Jeep at any time though.
One year and still a fan.
They clean up easy, don't stink.
Time will tell I guess. They've only been around a year....
EDIT: I hit the quote button and got more than it seems you posted.... ....weird science. Did I quote what you were thinking? Or did it snatch something you typed and...
Welcome to the forum and thanks for resurrecting the thread....
With your forum name I'm guessing you're from Black Pine? If so, the links on your website don't work.
It says 14 days in the office without opening "at room temperature".
Room temperature = 72 degrees? 70? 68? 50?
Not very scientific....
It's about time Overland Journal (that's you Scott, Chris, Flounder, Graham, etc) did a real side by side by side controlled shoot-out.
Get an Otter, a...
I have my Ozark Trails cooler on a drawer; the handles on this stick out too much.
Like the cutting board ---- but again, it's on the side and wouldn't work in my trailer.
Like the divider.
Don't like the price. $350. They're gunning for YETI, not Rtic or Ozark Trails...
Oooooooooo.
Maybe you should "Rtic" their butts off with a lawsuit. ;)
Thanks for the links, Cam.
My cooler turned one year old over the weekend at Lake Allatoona. All of our beer was brisk, no bottles were harmed, and nothing leaked.
I always carried a lantern in the old days. A big Coleman white-gasser at first, bright as an aircraft landing light ----- became the hurricane kit back when we lived in Florida; left it for the new home-owner.
Then smallish LED lanterns. Not sure why I lit them up while camping; maybe...
52 qt and no lantern...
Every now and then somebody camps near me and lights up a lantern. Spoils the ambience of the campfire for 300 yards around it. Light pollution.
The bungies look suspiciously like the ones on the Ozark Trails cooler.
Maybe California Innovations makes this one also?
I like the Ozark Trails cooler better; the hasp/bottle opener works better for me.
I sorta like it ----- but it looks tippy with the wheels along the narrow side. Would be more stable with the wheels on the long edge. ....but I guess it would need a longer handle that way...
