When I added dual batteries to my 86 crewcab dually 4x4 I went down to the Chevy dealer and bought the factory left hand battery tray and bracket. Went to mark the inner fender and core support to drill the holes and discovered little guide dimples already there from the factory. Made my own...
Nothing to worry about. Quite a few manufacturers have changed their recommendations from 10/30 or 5/30 to 5/20 oil. Makes for high speed low drag reciprocating parts in the engine, in laymans terms they did it for emissions and fuel economy.
The picture of you with the Full Sail shirt in Dubai is awesome. Have been following your travels since you started. I grew up near Hoopa so really enjoyed reading about your trip through there. Thanks for posting.
Like Jim K in PA said about your jetting and elevation. I would try some smaller jets to get me by while working on getting parts for the TBI conversion.
Does your black smoke at idle go away when you create a small vacuum leak? Have your checked your float level? A high float level caused by a heavy float or wrong level setting will do this. Possible air bleeds in carb plugged?
Looks like the move from CA to CO went ok. Congratulations. That picture of the trailer behind your 725 looks sweet. Been on the zone lately or done anything else to your 725? Free bump.
I used to live in N CA a few hours from Red Bluff and have seen a few of their Ford van 4x4 conversions for logging companies, seemed hold up pretty good to heavy abuse. Never have seen one of their Sprinter conversions. Are they still in business?

I don't know that I would pull a trailer, more of a pain than its worth. I would fit everything on the truck, if it didn't fit then I wouldn't take it. Take some Jerry cans for extra fuel capacity, I would make a secure storage place somewhere for them out of sight. Four of them would be...
Don't have much to update. I ended up moving again this last July and went from big shop to two car garage and a storage unit. Also went with out internet from July to December, the local public library had its circulation increased.:coffeedrink: Figured out my AAM 9.25 front axle just won't...
Yes it is. Looks fairly complete too, all the stuff that gets taken off and goes missing looks like its still there.
Also appears to be a carcass of a command car behind the WWII ambulance, I have always wanted a command car but the prices on them are crazy.
