So a couple of questions: How come my CDL light does not come on in the dash? Is there supposed to be a Low Range indicator that turns on in the dash as well? AND Is there an indicator on the dash for the Downhill Assist? I tried mine in low-range going down a hill. It works, but again no...

Oh, yeah and I almost forgot the reason I started this whole thing. The CB Just shoved my Cobra CB box under the console and wired it into the cigarette lighter wiring. That way I'll never leave it on to drain the battery. All back together, just need the proper shifter handle and sticker

So some install pictures. everything fit just like it should. no fabrication needed. And now the cable shifter is gone! All hooked up, tested and functioning correctly. Don't forget to trim your Transfer-case hole in the plate so you can shift the CDL on.

Okay. So this started out as a simple, I'll just install my CB for fun. And ended up being, hey you know that junked out 1987 RRC sitting over there with the CDL linkage just waiting to be used on your D2! Here was the victim The parts it sacrificed:

I really like the ace system. It keeps the truck level no matter how fast I take a corner. It shuts I can build some sway bar disconnects for it. The hood on mine is a bit oxidized. I tried to buff it out. I helped a little but not much.

A LONG TIME. Its an 88 HERE IS AN INSIDE PICTURE. A raccoon had a home in here for a bit. So this is why its getting the rock crawler treatment.

its has a center diff lock. there is a light in the dash for the diff lock and the shifter shows it as well.

Up in North East Layton. Going to keep the stock T-Case. Not sure about anything else yet.
