    RUDD Tire Chains

Are you asking $75 for a set (2 chains) or for two sets (4 chains)? Are you selling the 2532's also?

    Superlift TruSpeed Speed Sensor Recalibrator

After researching this product and finding it is very reliable, I now find out Superlift stopped selling them. Their supplier couldn't keep up with the demand so they just dropped it. I wish I had a product that was so successful.

    Superlift TruSpeed Speed Sensor Recalibrator

That is the most mileage and time I have come across on the TruSpeed. That is very good to know. Thanks.

    Superlift TruSpeed Speed Sensor Recalibrator

I am aware of the Dakota Digital calibrator. The price is certainly more attractive. Their calibration adjustment is a little more complex and they don't have two settings that can be switched back and forth without having to recalibrate. Since I tend to change my tire stes back and forth...

    Superlift TruSpeed Speed Sensor Recalibrator

Good to hear about more good experiences with the TruSpeed. I have heard of them being installed in the engine compartment and in the cab. I think in the cab would be a better environment for it. I plan to calibrate with GPS also. Now I need to decide if I should go ahead and pay the big...

    Superlift TruSpeed Speed Sensor Recalibrator

I am considering buying a Superlift TruSpeed Speed Sensor Recalibrator to correct my speedometer/odometer after installing taller tires and different differential gears. I have an old tuner that has programs that can't be modified and this unit looks like the best way to go for me. This...

    why 33s and not 32s?

I run a Ford Ranger that came with 31"x 10.5" tires and 4.10 gears from the factory. I purchased a spare set of wheels and mounted 32"x 11.5" tires for my off-road adventures and have run them for around 10 years. The 32" tires worked well off-road but were marginal with the 4.10 gears in...

    Wildernest for shortbed toyota (Oklahoma)

That is very close in size to the one that is on my Ranger with a 6 foot bed. Your Wildernest should fit any small pickup with a 6 foot bed.

Time to get a new GPS

I did look at the Montana. I really am not interested in a hand held unit. I want to be able to mount on the dash with a larger screen and like the traffic feature of the nuvi. I also like being able plug into a power port for power. I ended up getting a nuvi 2597LMT because is has 8 GB...

Time to get a new GPS

Thank for the information. I probably will not download any topo maps but it is good to know they somewhat function on a Nuvi. I don't need all the features on the Nuvi 3597LMHDT but if it has the GPS coordinates and altitude display, the Nuvi 2555LMT probably does too.

Time to get a new GPS

I have been using a Garmin Street Pilot 2720 for many years and it has proven to be somewhat useful off-road too. I shows many of the off-road trails I have been on and it provides GPS coordinates as well as altitude. There are no topo maps for it but I don't really need that. This unit is...

Sock Puppet, Thanks for the heads up on the special deal from Discount Tire Direct. I just got a great deal on some 33" BFG KM2s. I have been looking around and could not find anything near this deal.

    Calling all Ford Rangers!

Hi Scott, I am trying to wrap my head around your statement of losing compression travel when lifting with torsion bars. Maybe I am misunderstanding what you are saying but my understanding of the way the torsion suspension works would result in increased compression travel after a torsion bar...

    CB antennae

Thanks for all the information. I have some reading to do but it looks like I don't have to do anything about the missing ball. I have to lean toward safety as its main function.

    CB antennae

I have a Wilson 1000 antennae and have a question about it. It had a small metal ball on the tip. That ball came off on my last trip. I don't know the function of it, will the loss of it have any adverse affects on the performance of transmission or receiving? I seem to recall that someone...

    Wildernest canvas replacement

My brother worked for the company that built the fiberglass part of the Wildernest. He found several tents for me at an auction at the original plant about 15 years ago. I will contact him to see if he knows of any possible sources for a new or good condition tent to fit your Wildernest. He...

What to use on helmet visor for riding in rain?

I don't ride a motorcycle but I race an open top car in the rain sometimes. I have found that car wax like Nu Finish liquid does a good job of beading up the rain and a little head wind blows it off. I originally tried Rain-X many yeas ago an it did work OK but eventually started streaking the...
