Past the point of no return...

what I want to know, is how much tread will be left on those puny 33s, and what you're planning on doing with them when your wallet gets fat enough for 35s (or 37s.....maybe 40s.....face it you're a rock crawler!)

    Toyota vs Nissan?

There are a few of us that dig Tundras, I think the main reason they are not as popular as Tacomas, GWagens and Disco's is because Mr. Brady has never officially endorsed them as a viable off-road rig. If he'd had a Tundra instead of his phenomenal Tacoma when he started this site, things would...

    Toyota vs Nissan?

I've been using the Cooper Discoverer ST because it's one of the few tires in that size that are not a full mud terrain. It's more of an agressive AT. 1st set went 50,000 with 6/32nds of tread left. 2nd set has 40,000 and I'm at about 6/32nds now, so it's shopping time.

    Toyota vs Nissan?

I'm on my second set of 255/85 Coopers and currently shopping around for my third set. You won't notice any difference, the V8 has enough low-end torque it can handle the tire height easily. If you were doing a lot of crawling style off-roading or towing something heavy through the mountains...

So Lance has two stools and a welding blanket for two sitting at his shop next to your truck?

    Toyota vs Nissan?

it's got 20 more HP at 5600rpm, that's versus my 03 Tundras 240....the 05 and 06 Tundras are at 270 but the Nissan 4.0 is 40 lb/ft of torque shy (280 at 4000rpm vs 320 at 3400rpm) at those low crawling speeds....torque is nice to have when you have a lot of weight to haul....

Past the point of no return...

Realistically, it would only be adding 200, maybe 300 lbs to the truck (like letting your fat friend ride with you), which is way less than what is already added to the truck. The truck is probably overburdened the way it sits now....and I don't understand that other word - "overpowered" I...

    Go4Lo's '02 Tundra build

I've still got the sway bar, but I've also got the original bushings. I'm thinking that with 160,000 miles on the bushings they really aren't doing a whole lot in the anti-sway business. The Donahoes are nice and firm and I noticed a significant handling difference going from stock coilovers to...

What type of compressor do you use?

100% duty cycle Viair 330C (the C because it's shiny chrome) and a 2.5 gallon tank, front(behind the grill) and rear(behind the license plate) quick connects.

    Haggis' Multi-Use Tundra Build

Will you have enough room at the front for a longer water tank to make up for the volume lost from going shorter? If you do, or don't care about the lost volume, I think that is a better option. Allowing you to lower the storage height will give you much needed head room without having to...

show your cb radio and antenna install

In the dash on the Tundra for now.....it's a compact CB and I thought it would fit perfectly in that spot for the cupholders....I did not know there was a metal bracket behind there, just close enough to keep the CB sticking out far enough to get bumped with the passengers leg. I'm going to...
