BB lift = NO
Simple reason why is due to he fact all KJs / KKs came with very soft springs from the get go ( rated at 310 lb) its been proven time and again that any type of spacer lift will not ride well and will sag quickly.
LOSTJEEPS/ JEEPKJ are two site where you can read about members...
For lifts go to jeepinbyal.com
Lifts from the OME lift at around 750 -775 on up to and including their adjustable coilover lifts which of course are much more but the ride on and off road is great. They also have the aftermarket UCAs which make alignments so much better.
Stick to 3-4 inches of...
More information needed to know whats going on
year
tire size
gear ratio
weight
and on and on
Seen a lot complain about mileage and then find out they're running 35s-37s and stock gearing
or hauling a bunch of weight with the above
Nice one, I had a 65 back a few years ago that I let someone with a huge stack of 100s talk me out of . Still kick myself for that one. It had been a delivery truck for a small Mom and Pop grocery store since new. Around 53,000 when I bought it
Glad to see you doing this one the right way
Good...
Not a long nose 379 but at least its a Pete:ylsmoke:
Project will be different for sure I think I'd find a wrecked one to chop up though and save yours
You can do a lot with the KJs if you want
As far as the BDS project KJ I got to be at the shop on the day it fired up and drove for the first...
Check out 4XGuard, JeepinByAl owns them and has a 4 inch coilover set up that rides and handles real good
Also has aftermarket UCAs /skids etc
Just tell them I sent ya and they'll take care of you.
As far as RRO mentioned above, wouldn't give them a nickle of my money
I'll add mine in
265-75-16 load range C mounted on 8 inch wide Moab wheels
They are on a 04 Jeep Liberty 4 inch lift , steel front and rear bumpers, heavy skids/rock rails etc so it's heavier than most
Tires installed at 129,120 miles, now at 184,400 they have an average of 9/32 left on
run...
Never get 235-85-16s on with stock lift, do good with 245-70s . 4 inches of lift needed for 265-75s or 235-85s
Good part is you can regear to 4.56s /4.88s on the KKs where as the KJs only 4.10s
Leave it there are a few out there for sure. You already know what mine looks like, have had a few folks contact me on how or what to do to theirs so some should be showing up
I need to go through that on LOST and clean it up, most of those are no longer available anymore
Rock Lizards are a completely different design
Sundance of course , well long story
TJM is no longer making them
