if a 235 will fit on a 4.5" rim and it is supposedly 9.7" wide, what do you think of mounting a 255x85x16 on the stock rim. I have some sitting in the garage and I am planning to try it, but I cant decide if i should go ahead and put them on wider wheels.

Anyone got any old tires from their tow rig or anything that are 16" rim and skinny? preffer an AT or MT pattern. Just need 2. or 3

could you not flip the axle over and then 180 and the pinion would still be pointing forward? then it woudl be spring over yet still be facing forward?

yup, need more space. and I'm going to downsize and put some 33s on my next trailer so it wont look so goofy being towed behind the wife's stock liberty. I love this trailer and would love to make one using two unlimited tubs, but I realized after trying to source parts again it was cheaper...
