40+ Imported Defenders seized by Homeland Security Today (developing story)

Everyone one of these seizures was supported by a warrant, signed by a magistrate who found probable cause for the seizure. Each of these warrants has a section, where the facts establishing probable cause for the seizure are spelled out, in plain English. Another section spells out the...

40+ Imported Defenders seized by Homeland Security Today (developing story)

Before DHS was formed from several other agencies one of them operated for over two hundred years under the same name, the U.S. Customs Service. For those that think that just because the object of seizure was not located at your house when the agents came I suggest that you Google the term...

    treadwright guard dogs

All those big hunks of tire you see on the road when you drive down the freeway? Those are retreads. Avoid them. The $10 dollars a tire you save buying retreads won't cover your next tow.

Best non-electric cooler not a Yeti or Pelican?

We just took an Igloo Super Tough STX, the 54qt green version with the orange colored interior, on a three day Mojave Road excursion in April and were very pleased with the performance. It kept ice for the three days, with day temps in the mid nineties.

    2015 Subaru Outback: The Anti-Wrangler

In addition to our Expedition built JKU our other car is a 2007 LLB Outback 2.5, or "the hearse" as we refer to it. That Outback took us on a lot of adventures before we got the Jeep and we'll keep it until the wheels fall off.

    rear bumper recommendations

I have a Smittybilt Atlas rear bumper for the fuel can carrying ability. When it came time for a roof rack last month I went with the MRBP/OCF rack and basket. It doesn't limit what bumper you use.

    Hood louvers

Daystar makes a pair that I just put on my JK. No reason why they couldn't be adapted to other vehicles, just cut and modify the template.

    Ruger Trailers Denver

Actually, quite to the contrary. Your experience and Ruger's response has really kindled my interest. Nice to see someone own up to their errors for a change and not seek out someone else to blame. Thank you for your posts, and your humility it putting them up. Bravo.

BFG All Terrains vs Rugged trail life

Sorry, but my Toyota Quad-Cab came with BFG AT's and I found them to be a huge disappointment. They load up easily with mud and won't shed it, wear horrible, especially in rocky conditions, and don't really have very good traction. The chucks out of the tread were frighteningly large. There...

    4 door Rubicon Phoenix Camper

I gave it a good look over at Overland Expo. The rear overhang and the re-use of the crappy factory bumper cap were two points that left me unimpressed.
