i have over 127K on mine. it wasn't taken care of as good as i do. I run synthetic oil, keep everything in good shape and keep the cooling system in check. its never overheated and never had the head gaskets replaced.
if you don't take care of it it won't last. there are a lot of P38's...
you can plug off the Secondary Air injection. just use your GEMS crap, and get the right ECU. You'll need the 4.6 GEMS ecu.

What carcus did they come with? Mine are load range E. On a 5000# range rover.

I have 50000 mile on mine and they still have 50% tread. Ive only rotated and balanced them once.
