get a bottle jack out of an D1, D2 or P38 Range Rover.
Mine works very well. it should pick your LR3 up pretty easily. They should be pretty cheap at any junkyard. The nice thing is they were designed to lay on their side, so it won't leak fluid all over.:elkgrin:

I've owned one yota. an 85' with a supra motor. and 3 jeeps.
the rovers have a bad name because of hacks who can't repair them and don't keep them maintained.
But i did see Toyota had to pay the US government $1 Billion.:coffee: ouch.

Want to bet? I've put 50K miles on it in 2 years. I've been to Moab, a 10 hour drive there from where I live. I then ran Poison Spider, Gold Bar and Golden Spike, all in one day. I saw about 5 broken Jeep's and 2 broken Toyota's along the trails. I then proceeded to drive the 10 hours back...

Countless off road excursions in Montana, Wyoming, and a few trips through Utah.
I installed them myself. Nothing a little ether couldn't handle. Use lots of soap and they slide right over the lip of the wheel. I put 245/75/16 load range E on mine.

Springs are still working great as well as my shocks. Amazing how i didn't have to buy some poser crap to feel cool and look cool. That's about the extent of your work. I guess working on a P38, you might actually have to make something, instead of bolting it on.

I've had mine on for about a year now on my 2001 Range Rover HSE. I've put about 8000 miles on them since I installed them. I still have not rebalanced them. They work great.
I've taken 2 trips with them from Billings Montana down to Salt Lake City and back. Going 80 mph most of the way...
