Recently got back from a wonderful trip in Owens/Death Valleys. Five days and four nights consisting of the White Mountains, Volcanic Tablelands, Mono Lake, and Death Valley-Mahogany Flat Campground. I tested out using my Kelty Tarp 12 and it worked great.

I like my Klymit pads, specifically the insulated Static V-Luxe, they have a non-insulated version too. The "luxe" is wider and longer, think it may be thicker too.
Personally the size of that and set up seems a bit much IMO. If I had a tent I'd do a cot since it does get me off the ground and I can store items underneath it. Plus Nemo=$. I'd go with a cheaper alternative first especially considering the cost of the better tents. Try a cot and pad first, if...
Ah ok, fully loaded Swift. I found your ad on WTW. I'm guessing the dry weight is around 1000lbs. For something like that I'd not only beef up the suspension but also have air bags. Even with my Finch shell the weight fully loaded is quite a bit and getting the suspension perfect is a work in...
Ah ok. I've got a black garden sprayer that never really worked out the way I had hoped. Maybe I should revisit it with a longer/flexible hose. I tried to keep water in it during the trips and it would always leak out the top even though it wasn't pressurized. It didn't get very warm either. For...
The only drawback I can see from a trailer like that is how it would do off-road. I've read extensively about the similar Harbor Freight trailers and the improvements necessary to make them able to handle the abuses of off-road travel. Trailers are great and I still contemplate getting one. They...
I've got a couple friends who have both Kodiak and the Oztents. I don't think you can go wrong with either and I've often thougth of ditching my FWC for a lighter set up but everytime I camp with my camper it is truly awesome.
If you haven't purchased sleeping pads yet I suggest looking at...
My turnbuckles loosen as well even with wingnuts on the top threads. A lot of people on Wander The West have suggested Torklift turnbuckles.
I'm surprised to hear you blew out the rear end. I'm assuming you were navigating Mengel Pass and in 4Lo. Is your Swift fully loaded or a shell model?
Needing a dolly/dollie depends on if you actually know you will have to move it. If so you will need to figure out something.
What kind of truck do you have and what suspension is on it currently?
Google Wander The West for a great pop-up community and forum.
