    Alaskan Camper '84/'14 Build Thread

Wow, great job with your restoration, that looks better than new! I've been looking around for a restoration candidate for awhile now, but finding Alaskans on the east coast is like hen's teeth. I look forward to seeing more updates!

Ford 6.0 Turbo Diesel - How scary are they really?

I have had my 2005 F250 6.0 for about a year and a half now, and I love that truck more than I reasonably should. As you mentioned, it is a pleasure to drive, it's comfortable, and looks great. However, starting at 100k miles I have replaced the FICM, the oil cooler, deleted the EGR cooler...

    Post build ..uh.. build thread.

I think what I like the most about this rig is just how useful it is for "doing stuff". As much as I'd like to take off and see the world, I'm not in a position to do that. However, I like to mountain bike, and kiteboard, and get out to the lesser driven places of my locality when I can...

What Apps Should I Get For New Android

Although it isn't designed for your vehicle, I think the RoadID app is the best app I've downloaded in a few years. Its basically a Spot messenger, designed for mountain bikers to let your family know you're safe. If you crash and are unconscious in the woods, it will automatically let your...

    Post build ..uh.. build thread.

This rig continues to be my favorite on this site  I can also appreciate that you have almost the same hobbies as I do! There's something awesome about being able to duck into a nice warm area to change out of a wetsuit when it's snowing outside. In Virginia, most of the best kiting is...

    2nd chance f250

I have a 2005 ccsb and am looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I went from a supercrew f150 too, and I absolutely love my super duty. Knock on wood, I haven't had any of the MAJOR 6.0 problems in 117k miles, but I've been slowly upgrading parts as I go along. These trucks are...

Blank canvas: F-250 PSD Camper Rig

This is a timely thread, I have practically the same needs/concerns with my 2005 F-250. I'll be keeping an eye on this one :)

    Alaskan Camper '84/'14 Build Thread

This is a great thread! You're doing an amazing job, and I really appreciate the photo documentation that you are doing. I love the look of alaskans, but I've always wanted to build my own camper from scratch. Your documentation confirms my belief that it's definitely a doable project for a...

    2004 F-350 supercab. 6.0 diesel.

Heck yes that needs an 850SC, I would love to see pics of that. My 2005 F250 is stock height right now, but I really like the looks of it with a 4" lift and 35's, and I was thinking of buying a 650sc for it. I'm looking forward to seeing more from this thread!

Henry Spen Restomod adventure trailer build

It has been a little while since my last update, but I've made quite a bit of progress. Continuing on with preparing the new frame, I had to remove the old spring hangers and attach them to the new frame. It was a good thing that I didn't try to pull this trailer around anywhere because the...

Henry Spen Restomod adventure trailer build

The model S is a 3/4 ton trailer. I agree, totally overkill but thats what came on it! I guess i wont worry too much about overpacking :)

Henry Spen Restomod adventure trailer build

Update time! So my buddy the mechanic was nice enough to mount my new tires on the junkyard rims I acquired. When I picked them up I was shocked! They were WIDE!!!! So wide, in fact, that the backspacing became effectively too much for the trailer to take. The tires when bolted up rub...

    2006 Fuso / 1964 M-677 mashup

I sortof like it but the price is crazy!!! I would love to get an M-677 someday, it looks like a pretty clean mashup.

Henry Spen Restomod adventure trailer build

So, I was racking my brain trying to make a decision on which leaf springs I should use, and in my research I discovered that the 36" leaf springs on my Spen are the same as the front leaf on the Jeep MB/CJ2a. This makes finding replacements MUCH easier, so I'm going to go with it and keep the...

Henry Spen Restomod adventure trailer build

I definitely measure twice, then clamped everything "perfectly" together so I'd only have to make one long cut. DOH!!! In my head thinking, "so if this one goes this way, the other one is backwards, so it must go this way". So much for measuring!

Henry Spen Restomod adventure trailer build

If you look in the background you can see the hitch on the original frame. The C-channel faces out on that one, so I assume it will be fine either direction. I guess structurally it really doesn't matter, but cosmetically I agree that it does look more "finished" with the C-channel facing...
