    Ford F700 Build

Thanks guys. I'll begin working on the interior. I plan on framing out the interior in aluminum tubing. I may even finish the interior in aluminum sheeting. But I think that may give it an industrial or sterile feel. Here is a current pic of the interior...

    Solar Hot Water Heater

I found this solar water heater. http://shop.heliatos.com/Complete-2-...it-0770002.htm It has a 2'x 2' panel that it circulates the water through. The pump that moves the water runs off its own solar panel so it doesn't take away from your power supply. The system plumbs into your existing...

    Ford F700 Build

The weight is my concern. Is there a disadvantage to have that much weight behind the rear axle? Ground clearance is fine. I don't plan on doing any cold weather camping. I've been in Florida too long.

water tank Is it okay to mount an eighty gallon water tank behind the rear axle under the truck? It will not effect the departure angle.

    Ford F700 Build

I took the bumper off and the extended shafts off the winch in order to decrease weight and increase the approach angle. http://i1019.photobucket.com/albums/af311/hdemetrious/IMAG0289.jpg

Winch Position The way the winch is mounted causes the front bumper to extend 31 inches from the front of the truck. Does this effect my approach angle to the extent that I should move the winch?

Thanks for all the input. I'll put the spares on the roof. That will mean less fabricating and no comprise on the departure angle.

    Ford F700 Build

Right now the departure angle is 30. If I put the spares underneath the angle will be 20. The alternative is to mount the spares on the back of the camper. Since I have double doors in the rear I would have to make a carrier that swings out of the way so I can open the rear doors. So its...

Departure Angel How important are departure angles? I plan on putting two spares under the truck in the rear. This will give me 15 inches clearance from the ground up. The length of the this rack will go from the back of the rear tires to the end of the camper. Is this a problem?

out with the old in with the new

Are those under body tool boxes mounted to the truck frame or the camper body? I mounted mine with L shaped brackets to the truck frame and the top of the boxes are screwed to the camper body. There is no gap between the boxes and the camper. I question whether mine is a proper mount since the...
